So i heard that you can now customize your Spartan in Halo 5 on Waypoint. I thought to myself “hey this is pretty cool!” Then i logged in to find out that all of my progress on my Spartan had been deleted and i was now stuck with the defaults minus the Nightfall gear. I worked my -Yoink- off trying to get all my gear and it all turned out to be for nothing! Why 343! You lied to me! YOU SPECIFICALLY TOLD US THAT ALL PROGRESS MADE IN THE BETA WOULD CARRY OVER TO HALO 5!!! So where’s my aviator set, wheres my air Assault set, wheres my ATHALON set??!?
Let me know if the same thing has been happening to you guys too.
They specifically stated the OPPOSITE. It has been known that Beta progress will not carry over to the full game. Achievement progress does, maybe that is why you were confused.
I noticed that I only had Nightfall and Helioskrill unlocked and not the other armor pieces I got in the beta. Personally though, it doesn’t bother me. They’re just armor pieces earned from earning XP, it won’t be hard to get it all back in the game. Not really a big deal to me since I’m gonna be playing the game a whole lot and I’ll get it all back pretty quickly
Screw me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure the only armour they confirmed would carry over was the armour that was earned through achievements in the Halo MCC as well as Halo:Nightfall. It would make sense considering your rank is reset and the full game works quite differently from the beta version.
As the others have said, they were specific that you would not keep unlocks. Also in the future, being slightly more polite in your thread title will keep your thread open.
