In the ending of halo 4 after the credits we hear the didact talking and he says things like the “all things are forerunners alone” then his last words were “The reclamation has already begun and we are hopeless to stop it”
Why does he say “we” as in he’s talking about his species the forerunners? They are hopeless to stop it? I thought he would have said “you” or “they” speaking about the humans. But why does he say that the forerunners are hopeless to stop it?
Or maybe when he says “we” he’s talking about humans, forerunners and covenant together and theres someone/something else out there that threatens everyone, even the forerunners, maybe the precursors? Very unlikely I know but anyone know why he says “we”?
Heres the video for anyone who needs to listen to it again
We may learn more about this in Spartan Ops. IMO, it could be his last message in case something prevents his plan from happening to motivate someone else to finish what he had started, and to pursuade anyone that mankind is a threat with all that power. Maybe it’s to Jul 'mdama, the Elite in charge of the Storm Covenant working on his plan(whatever that is that we’ll find out starting January), or to anything out in the galaxy.
now someone correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure the speech the didact gives in the end was one he gave to the forerunner counsel after he either de-evolved the humans or turned them into the Prometheans. so its from the past, superimposed onto footage from the modern* humans.
i could be wrong though.

Pretty sure that it’s an exact quote from Halo: Cryptum.

Listen to the words he uses and how he uses them in that speech. Everything he says makes it sound like the Forerunners are still are still around, but we know that to not be true (courtesy of the Librarian, she told Chief that the Didact is the last living Forerunner). That means he must be talking to other Forerunners, most likely at a trial for his use of the Composer against Humans to make more Promethean soldiers to fight the Flood. Even when the Covenant were working with the Prometheans, it wasn’t as partners (which is the only other reason I could see him using “We” and “Our” in his speech), but they did it as followers of their God the Didact.
he could be talking to his felloe promethins, and covys who follow him. I mean he just composed an entire city at the end of the game so he must have hundreds of thousdands of them.
