I’m sick of hearing about the stupid battle pass, that stuff is completely optional, it all revolves around glitter and glamor stuff, I.E. optional dress up.
this game suffers badly from a whole list of other things. I don’t give a crap what my spartan looks like, he’s just a vessel for my gameplay. what is actually important, and what you, the community, have distracted 343 from by complaining about optional content you don’t have to purchase, is the Halo standard for multiplayer ease and access.

there is no way to choose maps, or reject maps. you can pretend you like modern gaming trends, but we know you’re lying. people prefer the veto or map select system. there are some maps players just don’t want to play. why this is slowly being removed from all fps games boggles the mind. this needs to be added if it wants to compete with the popularity of older titles.

you cannot choose what game mode you specifically want to play. now that you have a system in where you have to complete challenges specific to gamemodes, it astounds me they have no way to select specific modes, you just have to get lucky. this leads to players leaving matches, because who wants to play 5 oddball matches in a row when you have a challenge for slayer you want to complete. but if you leave matches, you’ll get a ban, in casual. you’ve devised a torture sim where the game is incredibly fun but the longer you play it the more you want to shoot your system and never touch Halo again. this is bad for the game, and for its longevity. it needs a playlist for each mode if it has any chance of lasting.
2.5. btw, a casual ban is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. there’s 150k players, and your bots are actually on par with most of the halo community, so implementing a ban system for casual makes no sense. Ranked does, cause that’s competitive. casual is the mode where you laugh and goof off. remove it from casual.
- buff the ravager back to the flight test version. this isn’t a do or die thing, I just really miss the old Ravager.
that’s about it. notice how my list is extremely short? that’s because I don’t care about useless things like microtransactions or skins for a video game. I care about the actual game itself. if you focus on the optional, then you lose the needed. stop diverting attention to this battle pass and fix that after you fix the mandatory things first. I want to spend the entirety of next year playing this game, but if these things aren’t changed, I can’t see myself doing that. keep looking to the old Halo games and taking inspiration from them in your changes. this game is nearly perfect.
