I’m a gold level player why in the crap am I getting matched up against an Onyx, for that matter why am I getting paired up with a diamond. Ranking is complete garbage.

And by trying it means oh one team has a a gold 4 and 3 diamond 6 ,better give the other team 3 gold 4 and a gold 5 to be fair.
the real reason is it allows players to party up with greatly different ranks, so an onyx friend joins a gold game, but instead of facing diamonds or onyx players which would be the price of the team playing together, it puts them against gold players still so they suffer and de rank even further
I believe it. I fully expect diamond and onyx level players when I join one of my friends who is an onyx. But when I solo I do not appreciate being partnered with other gold but then getting stuck against diamond and onyx level players on the other team.

Had this a lot. 343 have a lot to answer to when it comes to blatantly handicapping teams in matchmaking…
