I want to see if certain systems experience issues heavier than others. So if you could state your system and the issues you are having this could go a long way to helping fix issues. It could also do nothing but it does not hurt to try.
Systems:
Xbox One
Xbox One S
Xbox One X
Xbox Series S
Xbox Series X
PC
Could the PC users state the build of your machines alone with the issues you face? I understand that not all PC’s are identical and that this game can run on a $400 POS to a $8k+ super mama jama. The details could matter.
System: Xbox Series X
Campaign I run on 4K 60fps
Multiplayer I run at 1080 at 120fps
Frequent issues:
Connecting to BTB
Hit registration not counting with rockets and every other weapon even at 20 and below ms. The exception being the sniper.
Missing melees (could be user error but does not feel like user error)
Rare issues:
In some games I get 250-450 ms. One time I reached 4500 in a game of swat.
Ground pounding with the grapple hook would land me under the map in campaign.
Twice I had an enemy team member spawning on our side in the beginning of a match.
I’m playing on a series x and rarely encounter issues. I play on a wired 1GB connection. The only issue I have is sometimes a bit of desync and I’ve had a handful of games where there was a TON of lag out of nowhere. Other than that the game runs pretty flawlessly for me
My friends on a series X and has this weird screen shake and bad FPS problem. When he’s at the menu screen, everything outside of gameplay is buttery smooth and looks amazing. Once he starts a fight in a game he gets a weird jitter off and on and can’t figure out what it is. His speeds are fine, no packet loss…no weird settings on his monitor or Xbox or anything. He decided to load up h5 and it ended up doing the same thing.
Also…did halo 5 thrusters cause the screen to flash when using them? He sent me a clip and it’s this white flash each time he thrusted. Like literally a camera pic flash on screen. Its been so long since I played that game but I feel like I would have Been annoyed by that if it really were in the game. His halo 5 also ran horrible. He hard reset his box as well, uninstalled and reinstalled the games. Anyone have any pointers? I’m trying to help him trouble shoot it.
I’ll ask him. I brought in halo 5 because he tried 2 different games to see if there was an issue between both of them. There’s something happening on his screen that I don’t recall happening during my gameplay of it. If it’s pointed out that, that too is not normal, it’s more information on what’s not working right. Jesus relax. I’m not hijacking the thread by adding 1 small detail I found in his gameplay of a different game. I’m trying to see if it’s an actual Xbox issue, if it’s only in games server side, if it’s his monitor etc.
This isn’t about halo 5…christ give me a break bro. Don’t arrest me.
The refresh rate is 120 hz. That’s what you mean right? And what settings exactly are looked at? The only thing I noticed when I asked him, is that in his xbox TV settings, where it shows what your TV can handle. It’s where you select the TV set up and the 4k option it shows this list of stuff and it says “what your monitor/tv supports” and you either see a green check, a red circle with a line in it and i guess a yellow or orange symbol. He had nothing in green. Idk why that Is. Mine says it supports 120hz 1080p. He said the problem got worse after he uninstalled and reinstalled. Its driving him nuts. Its crazy how the dude still plays so damm good despite all that.
I’m going to tell him to take a picture amd show me what’s on his screen. He’s not sure what to do about it or if other people experience the same thing. So I figured I’d partake in this thread and see if anyone else had these issues and If they ever resolved them.
I was looking for the screen resolution for his ingame setting. But if he’s playing at 120hz than the game resolution should be 1080 or 1440.
If the Xbox TV setting are on 4K and the game setting are at 1080 that could be the reason why there is shaking and flickering. Asking him to set up the Xbox setting to match his in game setting. Might help. If not than possibly contact customer support.
