Based off of this question alone I suspect that Sullie wants to know the truth just as much as Ben does. Reason he doesn’t act like it is probably because he has his hands tied by ONI. Perhaps that is why he gave Ben this job in the first place, because he knew Ben would provide the answer he was looking for.
Or maybe he already knows everything and his intentions are all just shallow ONI propaganda that he thought Ben would follow without question. But I think the first scenario is more interesting
That would put an interesting spin on the series and how ONI sees themselves, or what Sulli might seem to Ben. First time I agree with what you have to say on here, or think it’s pretty cool.
Sully was the rule breaking in Forward unto Dawn; but now that he’s grown up and is part of ONI; how much of the old Sully is left? Has Sully become corrupt like ONI or has he been biding his time waiting to find out the truth himself? Questions that we may never have answers for.
It’s sad to see such a curious and inquisitative fellow like Sully put into a job where knowledge is only on a need-to-know basis.
My hypothesis on why he’s working for ONI is that he was caught snooping, but they recognized his talents and hired him. Don’t know why they would put him in PR though. Kinda ironic, to be honest.

Indeed, I’m excited to see how Hunt the Truth plays out.
Maybe he is the good guy and really wants to hurt ONI by indirectly helping Ben uncover and expose the truth?

A very possible third option. Sully may be fully aware of the SPARTAN-II Program’s dirty secrets, and hired Ben Giraud in order to have him discover the truth and reveal it to the public.
Sullie might have intentionally put Ben on the same transport as that ODST guy
I do hope there is more to the story than just the obvious ‘plucky reporter finds the truth despite spy agency opposition’
In ep. 5 there is the whole piece with Ben saying ONI have known exactly where he is the whole time etc etc, so it seems pretty inconceivable that the meeting with the ODST guy was an accident.
Somebody must be directing the whole ‘truth’ discovery process.
It could be that Ben will be lead to believe that the SII program was all Halsey.

I have to agree, in the newest episode of HuntTheTruth after Ben interviews Mendez, Sullivan tells Ben he has a flight to catch which coincidentally happens to be on the same EXACT flight as Walker, one of Sullivan’s interviewees (aka an ONI plant). Doesn’t everyone just find this too coincidental to be an accident? And come on, Sullivan’s apart of ONI PR or not, in the end he had to have known Walker was on the flight.

But one question is HOW in the hell did sully hack ONI in the first place. ONI of all places and obtain footage of the SPARTAN Project before it was publicly released even if it was just combat footage, hacking ONI is like trying to hack the CIA/NSA/Pentagon all at once.

Interesting point of view but the problem is that he is providing Ben with the wrong people like that gym coach - BUUUT maybe he wanted/expected Ben to see the truth?
Only time will tell but I’m sceptical because Sullivan always gave off this dodgy feeling (at least to me, even in the F.U.D series)
