Edit: I keep adding new designs, for those interested. (If any)
We have confirmation that proper armor customization is in Halo 5: Guardians, as seen here Official tweet by Josh holmes. Shout out to Josh for being a great dude and responding to my tweet. That’s not the point however, what is the point? Well, I would like to know which style of armor would you like to see in Halo 5?
I always hear people saying they don’t care for Halo 4’s designs and I didn’t care for many of them myself, but when they say that, they usually also say: “Halo 3’s armor style was better” or Reach’s or something to that effect. I think it would be nice to have a balance of Halo 4’s stylings, but more leaning toward that classic Spartan feel. Which is role based, militarized looking armor.
I drew this in an hour or so, just to give what I think “that classic armor look” is, a face. I called it the Hunter Helmet, the role aspect is it is streamlined and features a black light, highlighting DNA samples such as blood or other various things an injured target may leave behind. The role it would fill is an assassin or hunter role, targeting specific high risk targets or high priority enemies. Then when the target is acquired, sneak in and eliminate him. (or blow his brains out with a sniper) I took heavy inspiration from ODST, Mark V and Mark VI, so I’m wondering if it’s to similar, warranting it a useless addition. (Just for helmets with this type of design in mind.)
So my fellow Halo goers, feel free to tell me what kind of armors you’d like to see, and feel free to leave your own designs for people to see.

Well, I wouldn’t say rarely. EVA (C) was ridiculously prominent in Halo Reach. Everyone and there dog wore it.

I would love to see the hayabusa armor make a return. I would also love to see if digital ph33r would finish the deux ex machina series but one can dream.

That’s what I liked about them. The balance between changing a Spartan’s look without altering his/her silhouette? It almost goes into the realm of cosmetics and fashion.
I like chest pieces that do not make the shoulders any taller, and I dislike silly stuff that I feel detracts from the games look and canon. By which I mean Pestilence, lightning bolts coming out of armor, confetti explosions from hesdshots, and ninja swords glued to Spartans backs.

I didn’t mind it, I just liked the larger chest variety offered in Halo 3 and Halo 4.
The tweet from Josh Holmes seems rather vague. It seems to just promise more content/armor than more customization options. Your drawings not bad it reminds me a lot of the hazop helmet in reach and as to which style armor I’d like to see? Definitely reaches I loved the gritty style and attachments you could have.

The robotic arms were really neat. Something I really REALLY hope H5 does with armor is being able to wear some of the enemies’ armor. You could make yourself look like a Spartan whose armor malfunctioned in the field, so he/she cobbled together parts from Prometheans and Covenant. Having an Elite’s shoulder guard and a Promethean’s leg braces or something along those lines. It may not be “realistic” as far as being functional in the canon, but it would look amazing.
I would like to see every armor permutation from each game (with the exception of Hyabusa and some armors from H4) brought to H5 but updated to look Gen 2.
