What are some good strongholds and capture the flag tips
For Strongholds, keep moving, trying to capture any enemy base. Defend if enemies approach just as you finish capturing, if you’re already on your way to cap a new base, GO. & Kill any enemies that crosses your path, the longer they’re waiting to respawn, the less caps they can get.
For CTF, go for Flag Grabs, Carrier Kills & always try to score. You don’t move fast at all carrying the flag, so have a good route determined if you decide to be the carrier. Use your evade thrusters for a little extra speed. If you get hit by enemy fire, & want to go back to remaining “hidden” drop the flag for 2-3 seconds then pick it back up. There’s also the school of flag juggling, but every time the flag leaves your character, the enemy will know where you are. Keep that in mind.
On ctf I just mainly use evade boosters to get along faster, Ive seen a lot of people go one step farther though and will throw the flag as they evade to send it even farther forward, pick it back up and do it again repeatedly until they make it to their home base to return the flag but as Ronin points out it will let them know where you are if you drop the flag.
Don’t kill team mates that are doing nothing taking up defensive positions like in CTF I’ve had so many games I’ve felt I’ve had good control in stopping the enemy from getting our flag more than likely having a power weapon to get killed by my team mates to take a power weapon they think I’m under using. Then lost the match cause I lost my defensive position. Some times when playing defensively one side of the map will noticeable have less traffic. It’s probally better to not constantly be trying to get the flag other wise they will over defend it. It’s probally best to wait for a opportunity.
Stronghold when you have 2/3 I thinks it’s best to have focus on getting the remaining one even at the cost of an area cause most of the time I’ll keep a steady 2/3 but when there is 1/3 I feel defence should become as important as to getting 2/3 other wise you’ll just be stuck on 1/3.

if it was possible to only play one objective I think I could come up with better ideas.

THIS. All things yes. Also the same in CTF when teammates kill you to take the flag capture, so terrible. Instant report.
/slash, I love strongholds. I bounce between the capture points and greatly utilize Plasma Grenades to sabotage enemy capture attempts. Though it can prove particularly difficult to maintain cover and control on the catwalk on the Eden map.
