It’s been a long time since I’ve been on Reach and sold my copy on. I recently got it back and I’m excited to jump in.
I haven’t played since the 343 takeover so what’s changed? What’s been nerfed? And most importantly, will I still have my Bungie day flames?
Nothing major happenened while you were gone (I don’t know when the TU rolled out). Nothing really needed changing in my opinion.
One thing you will find is some less skilled players who got the game for christmas or something
Nothing’s been nerfed or changed or anything. Nothing really needed changing, Reach was perfect, IMO. What you will find though is that there are far more people who play Reach than Halo 4 now. I sold my copy of Halo 4 a few months after launch because it was just such a terrible game. And from what I’ve been hearing the population on Halo 4 has been dropping significantly over the past year.
Reach is still as fun as it was when you last played. You’ll find a game rather quickly and like the poster above me stated, there are quite a few inexperienced players now, but it’s nothing to worry about. Just more credits and kills for you, lol.
Anyways, see you on the battlefield!
It’s pretty much the same as it was a while ago, except for the fact that 343 removed a few playlists. (DLC, Action Sack, FF Doubles and a few Anniversary)
I feel like the average level of playskill has increased, although I don’t know if you’ll notice it when you come back or not. I just feel like the people who played the game super casually in the first couple years it was out have moved on to Halo 4 or CoD or BF4 or whatever else, and the majority of players who still play are those who are really good at Halo and have had a ton of time to practice on Reach’s maps. At least that’s been my experience. I know I get wrecked these days by shots and plays that people simply weren’t making a year or two ago. I’m also making shots and plays I simply couldn’t a year or two ago too, though. So, I guess it evens out.
