Is buying the HCS pack worth buying? or should I buy something else like the mythic sniper, sword or hammer?

you can’t buy individual reqs or pick what reqs you want to unlock. you just buy req packs and it’s all random, except for the HCS pack or other promotional pack that contains specific items.

The Nornfang, Gavel, and Prime packs are available in the Xbox Store for currency. 
It’s your money. It’s up to you on what you want to buy.

In the xbox store you can still buy a pack with the Nornfang, Prothets bane,SPNKr PRIME, the hammer, a helmet pack and greatest hits

To answer your question…I’d probably get the Classic Helmets. You cannot unlock those in the natural Halo 5 progression so they’re worth the cash, IMO.
Do you have the voices of war? I recommend getting something you can essentially keep. Those mythic packs aren’t worth it IMO who is to say right when you spawn one you die? Not to mention mythic weapons are easy to build up just getting gold packs really. I am sitting on a lot of mythic weapons because I hardly use them. So either voices of war or the HCS pack, I am a fan of the HCS series, I have all the HCS stuff.

My vote is either the voice pack or the helmet pack.

Voices of war is awesome. Bought it a while back. But I don’t like the Athlon helmet and thats the first thing you get from the HCS right?

I can’t recall how the HCS packs work honestly I just opened enough to get the stuff and didn’t pay close attention to what I got when opening them.
I would recommend against voices of war, they have been rumored to cause and infinite loading screens glitch.
I would go either with the classic helmets or the Nornfang pack (it’s my favorite)

That rumor is not entirely accurate. I have had this equipped since it came out, for both WZ and Arena, and I have had no such issues. Granted I do occasionally get dropped, but that happens to us all.
Op, I would recommend exactly what LethalQ did, the Voices of War or the HCS. I have enjoyed having bot items equipped, mainly the weapon skins fro the HCS and Buck for my announcer, more than any other cosmetic in the game. The weapons are fleeting. Who knows if you would even stay alive long enough to enjoy the weapons.

I would get either of those two.
Voices of war might be more fun to have for the long run tho
