I think there should be more than just Multiplayer maps, I think the Bullseye DlC did good with this. But here are some Ideas on what I think should be put In the DLC.
.More armour- Like bullseye, Armour should be added via DLC,maybe armour cut,old fan favorites, and new armour
.Forge maps- A new forge map should come with each DLC, It would be a nice way for maps to stay fresh
.Emblems- Emblems that go with the theme or name of the DLC should come with the packs
.Stances- like Bullseye
.Event DLC- with events like Christmas,Halloween, etc we should get small DLC , Halloween for example would have a universal jakolantern visor similar to emiles(orange color) ,an armour set, stance, and emblem.
I think a DLC format like this would be more fun and I think people would be more likely to buy the DLC. What are your thoughts and Ideas on the topic?
I think 343 Industries took the right step for paid content… with story driven aspects… Spartan Ops for example.
Yet it should be DLC-Expansions where the core money is for the story elements… paying the developers for their hard earned time… which would be about 5 - 7 long missions and a few cutscenes… think Gears Of War 3 Ramms Shadow. Also the developers could create a unique and memorable story experience… without the pressure of alotted time, like what happened with Spartan Ops. Also as an added bonus a few multiplayer and firefight maps, themed after the expansion packs story, as well as bonus weapon skins, armor skins, armor permutations, emblems, achievements, collectibles and stances… this could all be valued at $15-20 dollars… for the pack or the separate micro-trasactions could be purchase for just the separate stuff like armor and skins.
Good value for money is what I want from DLC.

While Spartan ops had a good story I think its gameplay was very lacking, so if there was story in DLC I would prefer if they took there time creating a more immersive experience. I also Think 5-7 missions is a lot ,but if they had 1 per DLC pack sort of like how COD handles zombies it would be more reasonable. Aside from that I think it would be fun to play an ODST level or a story through the eyes of an elite like in halo 2.
They MUST include premium playlists to play the premium DLC content. I don’t care if nobody even actually plays the playlists. By paying for a premium experience, we deserve to have a premium matchmaking experience.

yes, I dont like having to look for DLC maps for ages for an achievment.
Traditionally, Halo DLC has been almost exclusively multiplayer, with the occasional Firefight map thrown in on the later games.
I’d like to see more Firefight maps included in the MP DLC, and I’d also like to see campaign DLC. Not necessarily “extra missions” for the character you played in the main campaign, but maybe something like Halo 3: ODST where you play as ODST (or others) in the same vicinity as the story you played with MC in the main campaign that the DLC is for.
I’d also be willing to pay for seasons of Spartan Ops, if the gameplay and story-writing was improved a bit.
I agree with everything that you have said here. What I would really like to see is something similar to spartan ops but it releases throughout the life cycle of the game, or at least until the next next game comes out.
Every week was too often, if they gave you 1-2 hours of well written story content every 3 months or so I think that would be spectacular. This could release in a DLC pack with maps or as a stand alone DLC, kind of how boarderlands 2 did the headhunter things. Each “episode” should come with different armor that you get for completing the campaign, and a new skin for that armor for completing it on legendary.
This is what I really want.

Ya,weekly got stale with the same maps.Ithink they should come in a pack but can be purchased alone for people who dont want to miss out on story.
I’m adamantly against paying for DLC maps. Each map (or pack) that gets released will only serve to exponentially fragment the community. It worked decently in H3, but the cracks started to show toward the end of its lifecycle. It was proven in Reach, and Halo 4 totally nailed the coffin shut.
It’s a backwards way of treating the online community. Maps should be free because there are plenty of other ways to take our money.
Leave the $ DLC for things that don’t impact matchmaking or gameplay. Armory items would be good: Armor/effects/skins/emblems. Lobby things like player cards/stances/badges would also be neat. I’d pay for some really sweet CGI vignettes. Maybe a serialized campaign extension… but it can’t be anything like Ops. There’s plenty out there, enough to make the maps gratis.
I like how Certain affinity is adding the Gungoose and Silenced SMG into Halo 2A. This sort of addition of a few new meapons and vehicles should also be applied to DLC. Even if it is only playable on the new DLC maps, it’d be cool to get new additions to the arsenal.
Honestly think DLC is a joke. Maps are cool and all, but it severely fragments what is already a small community. It worked fine in Halo 3 when the game was mainstream. Story DLC is uninteresting as well as FF or Spartan Ops
Three multiplayer maps, including at least one Forge World, and a standalone campaign level. To clarify, I’m not talking about another Spartan Ops. No more recycled settings and repetitive objectives. Instead, we’d get a self-contained short story, a snapshot of some corner of the Halo universe. We could fight in Operation Prometheus, or the Grunt Rebellion, or the Elite-Brute war, or a Spartan-IV black ops mission, or just a group of ordinary Marines during the human-Covenant war. You get the picture.
> I don’t think there will be any DLC for the MCC. Likelihood is that the games will exist as-is and will not be modified or added onto.
He’s talking about Guardians, not the MCC.
But I agree with the OP. Champions Bundle was one of the best DLC Halo’s ever seen, and best of Halo 4. Armor, weapon skins, along side maps, is what I’d like to see.
> He’s talking about Guardians, not the MCC.
Well, paint me blue and call me Caboose. Thanks for the correction!

I would like to see this kind of stuff in DLC Aswell. It would keep the gameplay fresh and players would have a reason to get the DLC. But if they did this , they should update forge and custom options so people can use these new features on custom maps and game modes, but DLC owners would see these new features in MM early on the DLC maps.

Free maps and a few paid packs that come with a campaign level, and customization, sounds good.(Also wouldnt mind arbiters/guilty sparks/stg johnsons voice narrating my MM game…)
