> Thank you guys for your feedback! Another question I wanted to ask is what do you think is a fair price point for your collectors idea and what quality do you expect material-wise? I don’t want another fallout Dark Nuka Rum/canvas bag fiasco (although I doubt 343 could mess up anywhere near as bad). In my CE’s idea I said I wanted a Cortana statue(preferably made of glass to have a blue LED shine though her) figure and later I stole the idea from Golden Ranger to add the Ring around her.
> For the 1st teir I would expect a steelbook/w season pass/packs for 85$.
> For the 2nd teir I would add the cortana statue w LED base for 130$
> And for the highest tier I would add a high quality ring for 220$ And a unique package box.

Editing my post because I thought I was in a different thread… lol, leaving my original response in the spoiler because I think it’s good information sharing.
Looking back on all the Collector’s Editions, I would say I found $150 to be the best price point. Halo 3 and Halo: Reach both came with statues, reading material, and bonus content. As well as the Legendary Flames for Halo: Reach. I think those were the most bang for my buck and I am very happy with those purchases still.
One thing I loved about Halo 5’s Collector’s Edition was the early physical release and inclusion of the digital code. The game was released a week before the game’s launch, and with the code I was able to play the game at midnight a week later as well as have my physical goodies. I hope Halo Infinite takes all the pieces from these games releases for their Collector’s Editions. These are the best parts of all the Collector’s Editions in my opinion.
Halo 2’s was great. I can’t even remember the price but I watched that DVD probably 100+ times. It might have been just a preorder bonus actually.
I think Halo 3 and Halo: Reach were $150 (for the Legendary Edition), and I thought that was completely reasonable for what we got. Those might be my favorite Collector’s Editions for both the amount of stuff and price point.
Halo 4’s was cheaper I’m pretty sure. No statue but it came with the Season Pass and some booklet stuff, as well as in game cosmetics like Halo: Reach. I think it was the same price as just buying the game and Season Pass, maybe $10 more.
Halo 5’s was by far the most expensive at $250, and unfortunately the one I looked through the least. I’m pretty sure I haven’t laid eyes on those statues or its contents since release. That probably says more about me though. It did come with a digital code to install the game before 10/25/15, and was actually released before that date. I appreciated that because I got my physical goodies but got to play right at midnight. I hope the same is done with Halo Infinite.
In summary, I think $150 was the most fair. Probably TMI but I wanted you to have plenty of info if it helped.
