Halo 3s game breaking content updates and Reach also receiving attention whilst Halo 2 and H2A is left in the dust is really frustrating please give the MCC Dev team more staff, time and tools to develop content for H2A.
While 3 and ODST are my favourites I definitely think the other games(except 4) should receive more content.
There’s still a lot to be done, such as, Reach needs a whole lot of skins. CE needs more and also cream of the crop Custom Edition maps properly added to remedy the paltry map offerings. ODST has a good chunk of great content on the way and also needs H3 skins implemented. Halo 2 should receive skins and Elite models from campaign playable in multiplayer and also the map editor. And that’s only a few examples there’s more possibilities than that like H3 Arbiter armour finally added to H3 as well as upgrades to Forge and other features. The list goes on.
There’s Season 8 incoming which is hopefully choc full of content not just the fracture stuff. And they’ve said more content is on the way afterwards it just won’t be in Season form, I’m guessing it’ll be sporadic additions to the Exchange. And then after everything they can do they’ll, HOPEFULLY, select cream of the crop mod content for Season 9 and beyond. MCC has a lot of potential.
H2 and H2A will get additional content. To what extent and when who knows, but the team is aware of the demand for new H2 goodness. H3 gets the most because it’s probably the easiest to modify, has numerous assets ready to go, and it’s the most popular. It’s a no brainer to keep throwing content at it.

Yes please to this. H2A especially. Maps and cosmetics would be awesome.
Demand, most people play those games more than the others.
The Halo 3 bias is the result of both executive mandates and overall player counts, as well as the title receiving the content it was due with it’s port to PC.
Excited for the future of MCC after trying infinite but realizing I wont be getting into that game. Hoping infinites release gets people excited about halo again and maybe they’ll even get MCC or try it again if they uninstalled long ago.
Goes without saying I’m hoping 343 keeps a solid team intact for MCC and keeps it alive and fresh to pay homage to the fans that built the franchise. Have a good night.
It’s been stated by a MCC dev on discord that H2A is risky to work on so that’s one of the reasons why it hasn’t gotten that much stuff.

Interesting. I’m kind of curious as to what those complications are in particular.
it would be nice if they fixed the halo 2a loading times due to the cutscenes.
it would be kinda cool to get more armor types in halo 2a

Halo 3 and Reach are the most popular / most played in the collection. Halo 2 probably has the lowest numbers
I think a good portion is player population on Halo 3 and the Halo online content being able to be ported into the game fairly easily is my guess. I think the new armours coming out are completely new since Reach is getting the helmets but I really want them to add more stuff to H2A as that multiplayer is severely underrated, it just lacks content. I’d be happy if they just added a few more maps and some more armour, even if it’s just ported armour from the other games. I think I did see at least H2C for campaign is getting the same bump mapping and lighting fixes in Season 8 that Halo CE classic got so it’s a start.
I think its literally because Halo 2 is a bit of a technical mess. Same reason why we never got Red Dead Redemption 1 on PC. If someone touches the code there is a good chance the game will collapse in on itself

A poor comparison as H2 has been ported to PC twice now. It’s codebase may be fragile, but considering the visual bug fixes and mod tools coming for H2, I don’t think it’s as much of a mess as people love to keep claiming.
Halo 2 is essentially held together with duct tape. I have a feeling this might be why they haven’t messed with it, haha!

Reach has quite a few armors that I would love to see added.

2 Words, Project Cartographer
I don’t agree with this line of thinking, but the vast majority of people playing the MCC are playing it for Reach or 3 specifically. CE and 2 are just too old, maybe people aren’t as nostalgic for them, and 4… well, it’s 4. I would definitely appreciate more content for 2 and 2A because it’s my personal favorite Halo game, but realistically it just wouldn’t be worth 343’s time to put in
Edit: oops forgot ODST existed lol
