Noticed that this game,warzone specifically, won’t find a match for my fire team. Even more so if it’s a full team. Like why is it doing this?
It’s because of the population and the hidden MMR System.

Wasn’t much of a problem before the holidays. After the holidays it’s been bad.

I love how threads like this get absolutely ignored, whilst others that are easy to come in and say “we locked this thread because your comment is not bla bla bla”.
Why don’t we get a straight fix. Lower or TURN OFF MMR on a non-ranked playlist.
SO bad when you have top players and streamers not get games and wait for hours to match in a game.

Right! Like people come with serious issues and we get ignored. Like seriously I can que with like 8 friends and wait ages to get a WZ match when just previously I was playing with only 4 people and we were finding games just fine. It’s ridiculous.
Ranked slayer seems to be the place to find a quick game

I search solo quite often on my main account. I’ve spent a long amount of time repeatedly searching Warzone without getting games. I’ve found that the issue lies in the hidden match-making system which uses your hidden MMR to match you against other players and teams to try to create as fair a game as possible.
Issue was solved once I created a fresh account! I found a game immediately! Sometimes that is your only choice in order to get a game.

The explanation provided by Menke was that players like you and your friends make up such a tiny % of the playlist population, that catering to that would be unfair to the majority of the population. Which is ironic now since 99% of my friends that played Halo 5 a few years ago have moved on to other games because we can’t search together anymore. Now I’m the 1% of my friends list that plays Halo 5.
You’ll never get population data from 343. Four years on the forums and I’ve never seen any numbers revealed, only generic terms like healthy, popular, low, unpopular, etc.

It’s free to create a new account. It only takes me 5 minutes tops. You don’t have to purchase Xbox live as long as you have you main account signed in at the same time you use the new account.
