I noticed that I hardly survive going head on, toe-to-toe with enemy spartan in Arena Slayer matches.
I’m using a magnum, trying to shoot them in the head, and they are using assault rifle. And they almost always succeed in killing me off.
So I decide to try using assault rifle as well – AR vs AR, but then they still mostly kill me.
I notice I see them crouching, like a crouching tiger hidden dragon. While I’m busy jumping hysterically, trying to dodge the bullets.
I decide to start crouching, and then they blow me to pieces with a grenade.
The few times, I miraculously succeed in these head on encounters, before I recover from the exertion and charge my shield, enemy reinforcement arrives and kills me with one shot!!
Crouching is part of the style for dodge bullets, if you’re closer it will be more efficient because u lose the aim more easy from his head, now at middle range it still useful but with faster-experienced players it’s useless. If you do it sometimes the enemies try to imitate it and it gives you time, more when they’re nervous, but as I said, not with high skilled head to head players.
I dont have many exp in short range battles but as one middle, long shot player is not that useful, better try it when someone is closer like 2-4 m. If you watch some pro players strategies, they just do it as I told you, in short range, almost any do it in middle-long range.

Thank you for reminding me why I should never go into ranked or arena. I like moving around and finding people and go man to man, not crouching tiger hidden dragon small hit box female spartan played by a male in hopes to win because they can’t be a man and go head on and let fate decide.
You’re opponent could be crouching for multiple reasons. In most shooters, crouching reduces recoil and improves accuracy. In Halo if your playing games like Slayer or BTB crouching will hide you from motion trackers unless you’re firing a weapon. Crouching also makes you a smaller target, so you’re harder to hit.
Crouching has been improved since you can actually crouch while moving instead of stopping first, but after being on both ends of winning/losing hundreds of 1v1s due to crouch stafing, I don’t think you should be able to completely dodge chest shots, nor spam crouch if somebody is landing shots on you. It’s stupid and looks ridiculous.

> So playing as a female does have an effect?
I have read that it doesn’t as the hit box retains the same in either or -Yoink!-. Some have tried to counter argue that it does, all to no avail. I threw it out there as a point being made to show silly some of the gamers are by mocking them because of how silly they look while playing too hard.
I think that Infinite should have same size for either male or female, to put an end to that nonsense. Maybe people will actually play as intended.

that makes sense. I try and observe next time to experience the difference.
I also need to pay more attention to the motion tracker. I relied on it a lot in campaign mode, however, in arena/warzone not so much.

I guess it all boils down to experience.
I seen people shooting their pistol faster than or almost as fast as an automatic rifle. and as my spirit is floating away to respawn dimension, all i could think was what kind of finger can pull the trigger so fast?
