Examine H3 story and you find out it has one thing in common with its predecessors, blow something up. H4 was sort of kill this person and stop the diadact, while h5 was reason with cortana. It took me two whole months to understand what was actually going on. (Hey I ain’t a promethean expert) Also there was a change in multiplayer, its complexity. In H3 we didn’t have Spartan charge ground pound ect. Don’t get me wrong, I like that we have some non-combat abilities like clamber, but the added layer of thrusters and smart scope wasn’t needed. H3 main audience was casuals, because literally it was so straight foward. Once h4 came along and brought its ti sting story and the loadouts it turned some people away. Then the confusing req system turned the rest away, in previous halo games, you see a gun on the floor you pick it up, or you drive a vehicle. If we wanted to play cod then we would, the Halo franchise was supposed to be different than the rest… Now it feels like space cod. if halo 5 puts in a classic mode or makes H6 less confusing then they can bring back the casuals. Classic mode would be arena on classic maps like coagulation and Ragnarok while with no armor abilities.

Feel free to agree or disagree
This game feels nothing like CoD at all.
Halo 6’s story better be good and the missions too. If we aren’t fighting a Guardian in that game, then that is ruining the essence of Halo. I want to blow stuff up in the campaign because thats what spartans do, basically go on a suicide mission that marines and ODST don’t do (In so games and books they do, like Halo 3 ODST, fighting scarabs and tanks in a Hornet). The only big thing we fought in Halo 5 was a Kraken. It was utter crap, not enough banshees flying around. No plasma cannon to dodge. Only fuel rode turrets and riding in a Phaeton.
What ruined H4… way to casual, way to easy to hit max rank, the load outs were dumb because every on could spawn with a plasma pistol and that pretty much made any vehicle worthless.
What ruined H5… really bad maps.

If you strip away the story and background, it’s kinda the same, only one has vehicles the other does not. (Last time I played cod it did feel like H5, gotta play some more cod to back this up)

Its probably because of the ADS thing. Its something any shooter game can adopt. However in Halo it doesn’t reduce your movement speed. I’m not a fan of it. Neat idea but needs more work like making the sights see through too but you can still see the lines of the scope. And please reduce the lens flare. I hate it. Its the year 255(something) in that game, you would think much of the variables would be reduced. It should be a high tech camera for a scope that gives no lens flare.

Discredited.
H4 was poor, and indeed very cod like, very easy for one person to just go beast mode and win a game, map control was barely necessary with ordinance drops etc. and custom loadouts for spawn really did ruin the experience.
H5 in all honesty has a very weak story mode, MP wise though is a very good experience some maps are poor but others are brilliant, whilst a departure from say H3 the maps also feel as though they have been designed with spartan abilities in mind, something both reach and H4 failed to really take into account when sprint was added. some mechanics certainly need tweaking, spartan charge for one needs to steal from destiny so it has a window of use as supposed to being available as long as you are up to speed. the ground pound is great clamber is great, it plays at great speed, there is a great focus on team work map control etc.
is H5 H3? no but its still a damn fun game.
Both are better than CE-Reach in my opinion. Ive been playing Halo since 2001 and this is what i believe.
Halo 4 doesn’t feel like cod at all. Just because u can spawn with your very low version weapons of choice doesn’t make it COD. Call of Duty has awesome maps unlike Halo that fit every weapon while Halo doesn’t.
Halo 5 maps just suck for Arena and Warzone like who ever is in charge of the maps for Halo now needs to do there job and come out with better maps to play on.
Nothing ruined Halo 5. I love this game. Room for improvement is not indicative of failure.
Halo 5 is not Call of Duty! But they share some common features:
FPS
ADS
sprint
parkour abilities
power weapons give one hit kills
custom loadouts (warzone only for H5)
dedicated fan base
competitive and social playlists
various game modes.
differences, Halo 5 has:
shielded players means time to kill is on average 2.5-4 seconds (during an actual fight, not just shooting a stationary target.)
grenades do not insta kill, unless direct hit with sticky our pulse grenades.
radar based on movement, not noise
sniper rifle requires headshot for one hit kill
melee drops shields
ADS lost when you take damage
on map weapons, some with in game call outs when they spawn
vehicles in btb and warzone
infinite sprint
ground pound, Spartan charge
all players in competitive play spawn with same loadout
stabilizers, which can be turned off if you don’t like
F-O-R-G-E!!!
warzone power weapons are limited to how many points you have and cards for the specific item
assassinations, which you can disable if you don’t like
map design does not encourage camping
grenade fuse is impact based, no cooking
A-L-I-E-N enemies in campaign
a much better story imo than any of the cod stories
k so that last one is more subjective. Call of Duty has
permanent loadouts in all competitive gametypes
more customization options for weapons
time to kill is about .2 - 1.5 seconds. Pretty much, if you see the enemy first, you win the fight.
killstreak rewards
radar is noise based, not actually a radar
all sniper rifles after one hit kills 8/10 times
non lethal throwables
wall running, like in titanfall. Is this in latest iteration?
maps encourage camping
weapons only picked up from dead enemies
zombies/spec ops/extinction <— my favorite.
so, please, tell me how theses two games are similar other than the list at the top.

Lol just your opinion bud. I could say that Empire and Torque make a huge dump on Lockout (even though I like lockout), but in the end its my opinion.

Damn this person knows his stuff. Lack of gametypes at launch was quite bad, but by no means does it mean that the game failed as a Halo game. The free updates have been fixing some of H5’s mistakes as well as adding brand new additions.
I won’t say ruined but the campaign was nothing like they advertised with HTT and that was very disappointing for a lot of people.

Please spread your wisdom!!! People see ADS and sprint so they think it’s CoD, when in reality, there are more differences than similarities.

Yes, it’s like CoD with a Halo skin.

Ok. I disagree
