With so many things being added, many are also removed. So what are you going to miss the most? I always liked dual-wielding so i’m kinda mad about that.
no fall damage hahaha that angered me the most and dual wielding and the one shot kill splazer!!! and most of all is the hornet good i love having that control and the firepower!!!
> no fall damage hahaha that angered me the most and dual wielding and the one shot kill splazer!!! and most of all is the hornet good i love having that control and the firepower!!!
Agreed, fall damage is annoying
Hmm…
From a gameplay stand-point? Not sure.
But, I will say I don’t like my expectations removed.
What I mean by that is the fact that 343i are different than Bungie.
With Bungie, we had them for 11 years. You always knew what kind of Art styles and scripts and community interactions and such you were gonna get.
With 343i, we don’t know yet. I find it worrying.
I do like that it seems like Chief is talking more!!!
if I had to pick one?
skill.
The Plasma Rifle… and the original Banshee model from Halo: CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, and Halo 3: ODST in favor of the hideous Reach model which has apparently retconned it for good.
Of you’re list the traditional sniper because Halo shouldnt have a Rainbow Six Sniper rifle like the H4 one looks like it should be for no-scopez brah.
Of recently, I dont know if this is confirmed yet but the traditional power-ups like camo+OS and unique structured map design ala H1 with Chill out, Damnation, Prisoner, Rats Race, ect…
As far as features go, clans. Definitely clans. Most Hated 4 life lol.
The simply fact 343i said AA’s > Classic halo
Halo 1 - great
Halo 2 - great
Halo 3 - great
Halo Reach - WFT
Halo 4 - lets go with WFT people seemed to like it + It did soooooo well with MLG and what not .
Shiny red and blue orbs.
Lol can I vote more than once??
Elites in matchmaking first of all, ive always held elites in the highest regard and have considered myself an elite player for as long as its been possible so I miss that naturally
I miss the Flood believe it or not, they were an interesting enemy. I hope they make a resurgence in the form of a spin off game. I think a dead space style Halo: Flood game would be epic, 3rd person shooter as a marine or ODST (probably the latter), with a different art style to show how grisly war seems to a normal soldier without super soldier abilities like the good ol spartans
I miss dual wielding plasma rifles, and only plasma rifles. Good ol hoses pouring on the fire. The key was to pump them and they wouldnt overheat but the shooting would continue like mad. Halo 2 dual wielding needlers was amusing but just a wee bit of a broken/OP concept lol.

Plasma Rifle. I find it strange that it has been replaced by the Storm Rifle, an ugly boring purple lump of a gun, when the Plasma Rifle could simply have changed to behave like the Storm Rifle does.
Sense. This makes none.
The 3 from the title screen of Halo 3. sniff

Make a game based on the Mona Lisa book!
4sk battle rifle
Dual-Wielding
Elites in matchmaking
Firefight
Equipment
Armor lock
Flood
Traditional sniper
Most of the things You’ve put as options, aren’t really things people should be pissed about.
4sk battle rifle: There are a number of factors that make a 4sk BR more powerful than the other two weapons of it’s class, due to the fact that it’s a Burst weapon, which gives it a edge over the other weapons, and to balance the three, you need to either remove it, or buff it a little to balance it.
Dual-Wielding: Dual Wielding isn’t want made Halo great, people liked Halo CE, it didn’t have Dual Wielding, also there is balancing issues with Dual Wielding.
Elites in matchmaking: There are reasons for not having elites in match making, yeah, it sucks, but not everyone liked them, some flamed others for using elites.
Firefight: Fire Fight wasn’t really removed, it was evolved, and given more of a story, not just mindless killing, yeah, FF from ODST was fun, but I like the fact that we’re getting Campaign DLC, not just your campaign from day one Release, but a campaign that is added onto through out the life of the game.
Equipment: Tho Equipment was very popular, it has changed a little, instead of you picking it up, and using it once, it’s a part of your armor, and you spawn with it. Tho I loved the Equipment, because it was basically a very useful powerup, but I’m not pissed they’re gone.
Armor lock: This is one thing I’m very happy to see gone, It was a useful tool to use on Vehicle whores, but in none vehicle combat, people used it as a last second defense when their shields was gone, it would of been better if it used shields as power, not the AA power meter.
Flood: The Flood was keep on Halos, as far as I know, there isn’t a Halo in Halo 4, tho I bet we’ll see the flood again in Halo 5.
Traditional sniper: Please enlighten me on what you mean by this, the sniper rifle is still a sniper rifle, even it’s looks are still sniper rifle like, at lest for it’s size and caliber. We haven’t really seen it used out side of small maps, so we don’t really know if it is still useful as a sniper rifle or not.
^^Weird stealth is a party pooper. Just pick one you would miss not everything has to be refuted on here. Just because we dont need dual wielding doesnt mean we cant miss it from a nostalgic perspective. Wouldnt want it in halo 4 though, god no. Also there is no real reason to not have elites in matcmaking, at least not that ive heard so far that satisfies me.
Lol @ how i say not everything has to be refuted and then continue with refuting you… yeah sorry bout that xD
Nothing tbh, none of those elements were essential in my playing of Halo and if you hadn’t pointed them out I probably wouldn’t have cared or noticed.
And too people who said skill, my god go and cry somewhere else. Clearly these changes which you have no experience with will make it impossible for you to play at your pr0 level. Calm down for once in your life.
Finally, a thread to express my H4 hate (which isn’t much).
In order of wrath inducement:
-
Zealots are red. Call it something else (I do like Reach Zealots but there are times where I look at one and imagine gold armor)
-
pistol is a sidearm, possibly going to be thrown into campaign with barely any support
-
reusing Reach assets for Covie weapons and vehicles and just giving them a new makeover (coloring, lighting, effects) instead of drastically changing their design like they’ve done for some UNSC weapons and vehicles
-
no Elites in mp
-
If Bungie were making H4, I’d say Flood, because Reach AI were full of Flood behavior (reckless, firing explosives at close ranges, not using cover, headshot and melee kills emphasis to take them down, bad pathfinding) and this needs to change in H4. I’d rather put up with Flood then have to deal with Covies or Prometheans behaving differently than they’re supposed to (which thankfully isn’t the case right?).
To be honest nothing in that list really angers me nor can I think of something that does. I answered the classic sniper but even then, that doesn’t bother me terribly. What im a little confused about is the return of Jetpack.

Wow really?
