It can not be that complicated to get H3 stats working on a basic level.
Things like game history where it shows your placement. There have been at least 5 times where I wanted to check my win streak, but that is not possible. Why?
I refuse to believe you don’t have the resources at your disposal, unless you convince me otherwise. It is not fair to Halo 3 fans. You were given control of Halo and inherited all of its fans and success and it is time to own up.
I deserve Halo 3 stats and so does everyone else who plays that game on a regular basis.
Hell, give me the authority to get them working and I will dedicate 100% of my free time figuring out how.
If 343 were able to accept help from fans, it’d probably be easy for them to get halo 3 stats and a reach API up. But there are probably all sorts of complicated rules 'cause of big corporations/microsoft that say nobody is allowed to do cool things.

They have the staff, talent, wealth. I cannot comprehend why this isn’t easy for them to do. I do however expect, that Halo 4 will be the best game in history now.

That’s what I am thinking. It should be a piece of freaking cake to get minimal stat support for Halo 3.
I just want to be able to look up recent games. I don’t need massively in depth stats like on Bungie.

Because Halo 3 is 5 years old, and 343i is busy supporting Reach which was the latest Halo title in the Halo series to be released, and working on getting Halo 4 pushed out the door. From a game Developer who develops game series, it is VERY RARE to see a game Developer to continue supporting older games like Halo CE, Halo PC, Halo 2 Xbox, and Halo 3. Hell they don’t even support Halo 2 Vista any more. Yeah from a fan stand point, you would much rather 343i take time out of working on Halo 4 for this year’s release, and have Halo 3 stats right this bloody second, but lets face it, from 343i stand point, all projects that don’t have any thing to do with Halo 4, is getting pushed aside for now, we’re lucky they’re even giving us Reach stats right now.
It would take an overhaul of the site to do so, which they simply don’t have the resources to do at the moment. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an update come H4 that would show H3 stats, but at the moment their reasoning is: They simply can’t at the moment.
Maybe it’s a mildly elaborate plan to have weak stats for Reach and almost none for halo 3 so people will lose interest in those games and all run right for Halo 4 when it comes out.

I don’t buy it. What can be so monumental that some of the greatest talent in the development world can’t overcome it.
Microsoft put together a damn good team for Halo, and I simply can’t imagine getting a stat section for Halo 3 is that hard for them.

It is rare to see console developers support their old games.
And I am not asking to have updates for Halo 3. I am asking for 343 to continue a service that Bungie would have if they still had the rights to Halo.
Stat tracking is something that Bungie was unique for doing, and it is something that adds to the Halo experience. 343 should not get rid of that aspect of the game, especially when Halo 3 is still played by thousands every day.

Taking their reasoning behind why the TrueSkill ranks aren’t shown in Reach, and why they aren’t doing an update to show them:

i would like to say something, do you even know how handling stats is like? do you even know what it’s like to maintain stats? well i sure as hec don’t, but i am a begginer programmer, and i can tell you at a beginner’s level you would be severly confused.
as for the whole stats thing, it’s not a simple press a shiny button and everything works, hec it’s not even a copy and paste thing. it takes time. realize this that they are transferring all halo 3 stats, the whole 100 billion stats and what not. it takes time to collect all of those stats and putting them on a website. and just picking out the stats of current online players takes just even more time. so just deal with it and be patient.

Had a Perfection two days ago with a rampage killstreak and its gone…thats so sad.
One of the reasons i ve started playing H3 were all these yummy medals which everybody loves to collect.
The H3 stats now at waypoint are a joke.serious, just KD and playtime.
Medals are Essential in Halo.Maybe they did it on purpose to force us to play reach…

They have informed us, that they have no plans for in-depth Halo 3 stats at this current time, the foreseeable future may change that though.

Exactly. So many times where I want to go look at my stats from a game. That made it all the more enjoyable.
Stats and Halo go hand in hand. Just look at the communities that sprung up just because of stat tracking. It truly is sad to just abandon that feature for halo 3.
