What Really Matters

While everybody loses it over the match making, how about we talk about whats really wrong and what we would like to see in the first title update.

-I have countless clips of people either no scoping me or sniping me with a clean headshot only to replay the footage to reveal it was a body shot. The hit boxes are not right and they need a major overhaul. (Halo 2: Anniversary)

-The grenades. I get it. They are grenades. However, they have a blast radius of a mini nuke and that needs a fixing too. Added to the fact someone can chuck 8 nades and it would clear half of a map with ease.

-The shotgun is practically useless unless I am barrel stuffing my opponent. Give it a bit more range. I am not talking about across the map range, but another foot would be honest.

-Playlist options. I am tired of Team Slayer BR on lockdown in anniversary. Seriously.

So far these are my only gripes. I’ll edit as I go along if I find any others.

I agree with the blast radius, and its been in halo ce and halo 2/2a, but its old school.

lol what really matters is matchmaking working, not some baby whining about getting killed because of game mechanics. frankly updates to any game ever about mechanics is silly cause of the whims of child like complaining. its about learning the game, unless its an obvious glitch which these are not. double shots bxr and super jumps those are game ruining not this. go back to a game that updates its mechanics daily forcing veterans to learn new stuff for the noobs!

That sir, is Halo 2. It just takes some getting used to.

Disagree with the nades. If you can’t avoid nades with nade indicators in the game you’re doing it wrong. If there were no indicators i might agree with you.

And if you are in a position where you can’t avoid the nade then you’are also doing it wrong and probably deserve to die.

The nades are fine imo. If someone chooses to throw “up to 8”, you can use that as an opportunity to move or force them to back down by laying down some shots whilst they are throwing them.

The only nades i’ve ever had an issue with were in vanilla reach, now they were nukes.

Shotgun is a little weak., agreed.

Theatre is a pretty poor way of determining whether hitboxes are ok or not. Play customs on a good connection and see what they are like. From what i’ve seen in good connection games, the hitboxes are fine. Maybe your issue is with how latency affects hit registration or how they are shown when played back in a clip/theatre.

Before balance is even considered in this game, the extensive bug list need to be addressed so i can’t see anything happening balance wise for at least a month.
