What really kills Halo Reach for me...

Full Parties of Inheritor’s searching Team Objective and Never leaving eachothers side. then taking the game so seriously they scream in their mic when they get killed. And even if that isnt enough they camp to win at odd ball and try so hard to not die or lose that several of my teamates quit out.

But… thats not really the problem.

The problem is I matched up with them and was not in a full party myself.

So naturally I thought; “Well shoot that sucked but hey let’s try another search”.

Very next game, full party of higher ranks, Hero’s/Mythic’s/Inheritor’s

Again same exact tactics, try so hard, scream so loud I can hear them when they die.

So my friends this is the absolute worst because I don’t like to match with full parties.

But it seems that Reach gives me one of two options-

Match with an extremely underacted team, or match with and overrated team.

And yes I play arena.

I pray this wont be the same way in Halo 4

I search with high ranks all the time and I try not to die and get alot of kills. The majority of my friends are Mythic or higher. Or if they are good and a low rank, thats cool too. But we win more that way. Why search alone when me and my buds can get and easier win together?

Your not understanding what I am saying exactly, And i know how your taking this.

What I am trying to express is this-

If you know your team is gonna destroy and you see two ore three people quit out on the enemy team, then why try so hard?

Why…try.,… so…hard?

Thats all I wanna know, I mean I literally just hid the entire game got like 5 kills and let them go to town on my teammates.

Besides that when your teamates dont support you, there is little chance of you winning.

My case in point, I like a challenge, not impossible. 5 vs 1 Im gonna lose.

I would love to play a game on your team. My troll mode would go on so fast… you just would not believe it…

Well one, I definitely think the matchmaking should be better. Full groups of higher ranks/better skilled players shouldn’t get matched up with lower ranked/lesser skilled players or teams of randoms.

I know it is harder to find full teams to match them with but it’d be nice if they at least matched them with say a team of 3 and 2 or a team of 2, 2 and a single guy.

Also, players who can get serious and competitive will try no matter what. Even if the other team seems really bad or you think you can win, there are chances that the other team will be able to win. I mean sometimes it is super obvious that you’ll beat the other team but it’s not good to constantly get over confident. Plus it’s not any fun just sitting back and not doing anything. So I can understand both sides.

I also agree with the fact that it’s hard to do anything when your teammates don’t support you or go for the objective. I mainly play by myself too and I get some awful teams. In arena today I had a teammate who had 22 deaths and went -22. After the game ended the guys on the other team talked about how awesome the terrible guy was and that they loved him.@_@

What kills reach for me. Bloom, wackass maps, boring guns (except for the nade launcher), garbage playlists and match making, and yes, armor abilities.

> Why…try.,… so…hard?

Why makes you think they are even trying?

I cannot speak for those you have played against but me and my friends do no try, we just do. We actually have to try to not do what we do.

Lately I’ve been playing on a different account every now and than and purposely trying to not play like I usually do. Every fibre of my being screaming at me to pull out the DMR and 5 shot everyone while I actually jetpack 63278467894 feet into the sky shooting a shotgun.

Simple solution: dashboard.

Oh so simple.

I always wonder what the randys that don’t quit are thinking. And now I know.

Perhaps if Reach actually HAD a legit ranking system then you could play ranked matches against people of similar skill. I’m sorry pal, it is not the inheritor’s fault that you keep getting matched against full parties. It is the developer’s fault.

Exactly, what are you supposed to do? Give them the power weapons? Let them get your flag so they get a chance of winning? It’s not trying hard, it’s playing at your own level… Next time I go against noobs I’ll play with one hand or even with my feet, ok? Is that good enough for you OP?

> I’ll play with one hand or even with my feet, ok? Is that good enough for you OP?

Kinda off topic but I played a game with my screen turned off once, still got kills.

I’ve had this a lot of the time and most times it has been funny. Last night playing Big Team i had a game where most our team quit because of the entire opposing team being Forerunner, Hero, Inheritor, etc. We lost but we annoyed them a lot. After that a similar story except we won! Also assassinated them a few times, they were really angry afterwards.
I think it’s pretty funny when they -Yoink!- and then get owned, and then accuse you of cheating after the game when they lose. Rank isn’t everything

I will never quit out of a game, no matter how bad it is. I think I may have rage quit once, and that was after a frustrating day.

But I won’t hide, I will still try to get kills.

If you set matchmaking to match skill, it finds someone with a matching, or rank close to yours.
*EDIT: Oh right, your a hero. Just turn off your mic. If you want to still be aboble to hear your team, set it to team and party on the H:R audio/video settings.

BTW, your Service record is pro

> If you set matchmaking to match skill, it finds someone with a matching, or rank close to yours

False.

I’ve tried that in Team Slayer where I have over 1,000 games and with over 90% wins and still match people who have never played it.

> I think it’s pretty funny when they -Yoink!- and then get owned

Something that happened the other day. I had just finished taking out the other team’s sniper, and saw my teammate below doing what I call the “DMR Dance” with an opponent. I popped off two shots, but could not get a bead on the other guy due to their jumping around. My teammate drops, and I see the other guy go and grab his ammo.

As I wait for the reload to finish, I figure the opponent is going to run around the corner, but NO! He stops to -Yoink!-! Sniper round to the head, beeyatch!

That for the -Yoink!- on my teammate. Pretty funny.

Here’s to hopping Halo 4 doesnt have this crap in it.

Its called people being team players. No one uses microphones anymore.

It does not matter what rank anyone is. If an entire team uses microphones, against a team without microphones, and they coridate, they will WIN.

Especailly in objective games. Microphoneless idiots just run off with the only means of transportation while you sit alone holding the bomb, having to walk all the -Yoink!- way there.

ACTUALLY! i hope there is MORE of this in halo 4.

Back to the glory days of halo 2!

bring back the MICS!

bring back the TEAMWORK!

In halo 2 it was about winning the game, to rank up. Your personal K/D didn’t mean a damn thing. So you had to have a microphone in order capture flags, and plant bombs… to win… to rank up…
