The boot-happy, jelly-quitting Halo community. Thanks for jacking up other people’s experience.
Quitting wrecks games and makes a ten minute game a twenty minute game because “blue screen” lasts forever.
Boot-happy players especially eff up my fun. I was 23-6 in my last game and accidentally rocketed a guy hijacking a wraith who then immediately booted me. That dude went -15. Why? Shakes hands in the air WHY!?
Yeah, I have a lot of people who join, and then quit in the next 30 seconds or so. If you’re going to quit, don’t play at all. It’s also annoying when in Grifball someone hammers you from a range that is inconceivable.

or better yet, you hammer first, but they still get the kill when you are both the same distance from each other. Or perhaps whenever you sword lung the ball carrier, you lung at him, just to be whacked and kills EVER FREAKING TIME. no matter who has the ball, and it doesn’t even take down the shields, but when you get lunged at, it’s always and instant KO.

Yeah, I know, or when they punch at the same time you sword lunge and barely get hurt.

Been there, experienced it. Its getting quite annoying.

Some people need to be booted. The one’s who purposely betray people and in turn ruin your experience. But too many people boot whenever they get the chance, regardless of whether or not it was an accident. Most of the time they don’t even know their just boot happy and boot people. Which when innocent people get booted it really stinks. I’ve been on a Riot, almost to a rampage, one away in fact, It would have been my first in Reach but some dumb a drove into my line of wraith fire. When I had been clearly shooting there before they drove over there and it was obvious I was still shooting there. I didn’t see them, it wasn’t my fault by any means but I got booted. So I feel your pain. But those who betray on purpose really derserve the boot. The Halo community needs to learn to tell whether or not it’s an accident and not just get pissed and boot anyways. I think maybe a betrayel cam would fix this. At least they can see and judge, though some would still boot anyways probably. I agree on quitters it’s just annoying! 4 v 1 is never fun! But thankfully in Halo 4 there are join in progress possibilities which will hopefully fix this.
im not going to lie about this. the first thought i thought of when i saw the the title of this was kats robotic arm!
and oh btw your right and wrong because some people need to be booted and some poeple make mistakes so if i get team killed ill forgive the person (and if they have a mic i wana hear “im sorry” come out of their mouth) but the second time i might kick depending on the sistuatuion and if they have a mic i will most likely kick them third i always kick!
I have a new one to add.
People who see on their screen that you are on a killing frenzy or higher in a game and betray you to end your spree really grind my gears. This happened to me last night when I had a running riot and a slice and dice. I was 20-3 when I got betrayed, and no option to boot. Go figure.
Playing Halo solo really sucks.
I have no problem booting players. If you are going to throw grenades at me on purpose because my shields are low goodbye.
I’ve never booted a player and regretted it / lost a match because they were no longer in the game. The players that get booted are useless to begin with.
What you are saying is that it would be OK to boot a player who goes negative only, just because you were positive in that match but killed other teammates before that gives you a pardon for not being booted.
It works its magic regardless of who you are and is there to be used by everyone at their discretion. You just were on the wrong side of the screen this time.
Also in Big Team Battle, there’s always black screen with all the teams up for like 10 minutes, only to realize that my whole team quit. So I was stuck against a whole team of five who group Tea bagged me every time I got killed.
Hopefully something is done about quitting in Halo 4
I have a 2 strikes policy.
First time if it doesn’t seem blatantly obvious they were trying to betray me I let 'em go. Second time, be it an accident or not, I boot.
I mean if you’re too trigger happy to take care with teammates why should I keep you on just to kill me again?
