For me i think FFA takes the least amount of skill just because crouching and waiting gets you so may free kills, plus running into a gunfight.
While I don’t like saying that something takes “no skill”, I would definitely say that FFA is the easiest playlist to win in. But you don’t even need to crouch and wait for somebody to walk by. For example, I can run around spartan charging everyone than finishing with them with AR spray and win pretty easily (I know, the noobiest thing ever). Plus, the spawns in FFA aren’t the greatest spawns.
But overall, the worst thing about ranked is the map selection. I want to play ranked, but holy crap these are the worst maps in any Halo since Reach. Just the chance of getting Molten or Overgrowth puts me off of ranked.
Swat. It’s more reflex based than actual thinking and strategy.
Hahaha if it’s so easy why aren’t you a champion in it. You can do the same tactic in any of the ranked playlist. FFA takes more skill to be truly successful at it because you don’t have teammates to pick up your slack when you are having a bad game. All negative stuff people try to put on FFA applies to any ranked playlist in arena.
I’d say SWAT. Granted, you still have to play smart, but it’s far more lenient compared to the others. Plus, assassinations.

To be fair, the horrid spawning is the most noticeable in FFA and is thus easy to exploit in FFA. And it’s harder to camp, charge and spray, or do something equivalent in team playlists because you must do those actions against a group that is most likely coordinated. While you always have to watch your back in FFA, you can fairly easily locate the weakest players and take them out.

I wont say FFA takes the least skill but its the easiest to grind since its the easiest playlist to grind CSR by being able to gain CSR even by being in the bottom 3 - when the scores are close of course.
Still i respect the amount of time and effort people put to grinding. Ive seen players in onyx with a few 100 games. Something i dont have the patience to so since i tend to stress out in every FFA matchs
Halo 5 FFA is the best FFA has ever been. It is a very skilled playlist, it just requires a much different skill than the other arena playlists. Match against high onyx and champs you won’t see camp crouching. If you do odds are that player is in last place.
I would say swat. But I don’t think there are any ranked playlists that don’t take skill to be successful in. The only reason I think swat is because the map control in swat is all intentioned to spawn trap the other team. There are no objectives, power ups or weapons to control. Just spawns. Makes it a very frustrsting playlist for me.

FFA takes a ton of skill. Swat…not as much because the kill times are so quick.

I have played a lot of FFA and the spawns aren’t near as bad as most try and make it. Kinda like how every one claims they get “farmed” every game of warzone.
SWAT or FFA…
I lost to a guy in FFA that literally camped corners all game long but got into a match of Team Slayer quite some time later… some GT’s are pretty memorable… and I went off on the guy and his whole team.
Dude got wrecked lol… It’s not as easy to camp corners and pounce on unsuspecting players when you have a coordinated team up against you.

This
Swat hands down
yep swat
I don’t play a lot of the other modes anymore. I usually stick to Breakout and Swat with the occasional TS or Warzone of sorts. I’d have to say SWAT is the easiest. Once you hone in on where your sights should be it becomes fairly easy. Strafing does more good than turning. The more you play, generally speaking, the quicker your reflexes become. It can be frustrating, however, if you are having a crappy game and just keep getting domed at every turn. lol
its between FFA and swat
Swat if you can be quick enough
