I believe I reached rank 12 or 13 I can’t remember the last armor price I think I earned was recon but guess what eariler I saw someone post a link to a question to josh Holmes and he asked will our ranks and unlocks be transferred to the full game and Holmes said everything will be reset except the armor you unlocked through mcc and nightfall and for proof look up the forum Rewards or goodies for halo 5 beta testers on the 2nd page by AndyBB1337 and he has a link to the conversation but it sucks right guys I really don’t want to restart my ranks but it’s good that he had that conversation with Holmes know we know what to expect

It’s better like that. With the community -Yoinking!- and moaning about how H4 wasn’t balanced and loadouts ruined everything why would 343 let players who played the beta start off at whatever rank they were? Yeah, that’s balanced for sure. I wouldn’t be surprised if people were upset I know I would be. Not everyone played the beta so it wouldn’t be fair for 90% of people max rank and whatever and 10% people left at start. And before you bring it up, it’s a difference when people have an unfair advantage at the midnight launch of the game compared to weeks after launch. The start of the game is where everyone starts fresh and at an even playing field. The armor and nameplates or whatever are all cosmetic and don’t matter. That’s perfectly understandable and fine

A beta is there to test the game for balance and bugs, not to have a good time (even though you can still have fun while testing the game). All of that “wasted time” was not wasted if it helped benefit the release of the game.

The entire point of a beta is to test the game and network. If you poured days into the beta expecting for everything you did to carry over to the final game, then you don’t know what “beta” means. I participated in the beta knowing full well that nothing I unlocked or stats that I earned would carry over, everyone did (well the smart ones at least).
I can’t even remember the last time progress from a beta carried over to the final game. But even when it did, you would have known about it before the beta even started. Having 343 carry stats, levels and unlocks over would without telling anyone before hand be unfair. Having them give out rewards simple because you played more than someone else would be unfair. The only acceptable “reward” would be an emblem, title or something else given to everyone who participated in the beta. Which they did.
I’m all for getting a reward for halo 5 for playing the beta. So long as everyone who played gets the same reward.

i know that, but there was a point that was reached where i stopped playing the beta looking for bugs and just had fun (I understand fully the point of a beta). and id be with a lot of people

i knew that nothing but Armour sets would carry over, but id hoped that rank would as well, or at least some show of the progress that was made in the beta (stats at least)

the beta was really good, i will hand it to 343 for doing a good job whilst being completely tied down at the same time with the mess that was MCC

There were only 36 or 37 ranks in the beta there was no 40 or 50 ranks
I can’t remember, it wasn’t very high though, because I only got about 15 games in.

i wasn’t sure which was the highest rank, as stated “from what i can remember”, thankyou for clearing that up, however, you could continue on further, but they made it a ridiculous amount of xp to rank up again. I could state conclusively if waypoint had tracked the progress of the beta

Ya that would we cool and I hope they have that system like they had in halo reach where you can see your entire Spartan that was a cool spartan picture system
