What Rank did you get to?

What Rank did you get to?

Inheritor

Brigadier Grade 3

eclpise

Hero.

I got to Major.

Noble and still going till I get inheritor

I’ve done inheritor twice. Thanks to custom challenges.

Just Field Marshall, but Reach definitely had the best ranking system in my opinion. It took a lot of matches, but I reached my goal.

Currently Colonel but I’ll probably stop somewhere in the middle of Colonel Grade 1 once I’ve completed 66% of the armory.

Reach ranks were way too long and honestly took zero skill to obtain. Just a grind. I’m not saying I didn’t like it but I’d like it much more if it didn’t take so long.

Not true, Halo 3’s ranking took WAY too long to get to a certain rank, or it took just grinding one playlist to get to a desired rank. Albeit, Reach made it so then you could advance in rank without absolutely needing to win games considering that it was based around YOUR skill. Halo 3’s “Win exactly one EXP. point if you won the match and nothing if you didn’t, even though more than half of the matchmaking game types required team effort and if you didn’t have exactly that, and you were carrying your team but still lost, you were rewarded nothing.” was more than frustrating.

Also, Halo 3’s system of deducting experience points whenever you quit a game was all in all fine and taught people not to quit games early, but there was a major problem:
The system doesn’t differentiate between someone from “lagging out” and someone who quits games early. That means people like me who were growing up with wifi that couldn’t handle video game connections too well, and disconnected frequently, were ultimately losing experience more than gaining it. Halo Reach’s early quitters system only made it so you had to wait a certain amount of time, before you could join matchmaking.

So if I were to pick a ranking system, I would choose Reach’s for being the most fair, and less down sided of the ranking systems.

I agree H3 was long as well but I like that system much better. Shorten the exp limit (wins) to achieve ranks quicker and it would be perfect. I’m an inheritor and a 5 star gen on reach and h3. I know how long they take.

I am Reclaimer. 2,4million Credits to go.
Had too much long breaks for Inheritor … ^^

Cheers!

I’m a inheritor :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Trying to get through eclipse to finish the armory. Close to buying pestilence then on to inclement weather.

Colonel Grade 1, but still trying to reach Inheritor.
