So I played with a team from forums, we went 4/10. I have a 4.4 K/D/A. In the games we lost, with the exception of 1, I was the only + K/D. A couple of those loses I was even the Top Gun…and I get gold. I didn’t get gold…my team got gold…what is my rank?
Please create a rank that represents individual rank, not a rank that represents who we played with. My win / loss is irrelevant when I’m the top gun! I just ground through quits, afk’s and betrayals all last season just to earn platinum, up from gold. Now I’m right back where I started, seriously this is BS.
…and don’t give me this “don’t post nonconstructive posts” nonsense, address the issue. We don’t need more armor sets or reindeer games, fix your matchmaking!
Actually your K/D was 1.2 and you didn’t score as well when placed against anyone higher than Platinum. It places you based on individual skill and you are actually placed correctly by what I can see from the games you played.
Edit: I see you scored higher than gold ranks on your last game, however your team still lost which I believe still counts against you.

From what I can see, I had the best performance on my team, one of which scored platinum. I can also see that I swam through a river of bs, grinding to plat all last season. Now I’m gold again??? I earned plat 3 days ago!!! …but then again, you’re Onyx. So you must know everything >.>

I thought they might have updated metrics to calculate ranks, but it’s looking like it’s still consistent with pre-season (good or bad). I’m guessing rank partially depends on player pool size too, so I would imagine seasons helps prevent folks from staling out in a single rank over a long period - or having to grind up through levels as the player pool size scales.

Those stats are Gold stats. If you are having those type of stats in Gold/Platinum games then you are in the correct rank. Personal stats as well as wins play a major factor in where you place.

There wasn’t a ranking system in Reach. It was literally a progression based system.

Ummm. There was no ranking system in Reach…If you mean Arena, then you forget how bad that ranking system was. If you are talking about your spartan rank, then H5 does have that ranking system as well. This ranking system is not rocket science. Many other games utilize this same system.

I did that months ago, no thanks! It’s my fault I’m a solo player? I guess it should say on the box - “Solo players beware”, and I could have saved my money!

It’s Team Slayer. Not Solo Slayer.
The emphasis is going to be on W/L vs individual stats. Individual stats are great and all but did your team win? No? Then you don’t deserve to rank up. It’s fairly simple. Focusing a team based playlist ranking around individual stats is going to promote a lot of things that are not in the spirit of shooting for a team win.

Why do you assume that my mom has to live with me for her to play games? People can play anywhere now. I don’t have to play right next to you…logic at it’s finest.

Then my rank should be team specific, and referred to as our team rank. Like in starcraft II…team ranks are unique. This way players and teams are properly identified
