What playlists help improve my play?

So I recently took a bit of a long break from Halo and now that I’m back I suck pretty bad haha. So which of the current playlists will improve my “skills”? I was thinking Super Slayer, but it’s kind of annoying due to armor lock. :frowning:

If you want the most hardcore, competitive playlist, try MLG. When you first play it don’t automatically quit or decide to stop if you start to lose or do bad. Instead, try to find things that you did wrong and correct them.

Watch gameplay from the games that you lose from the POV of someone on the other team that won.

Above all, don’t get upset or frustrated. Everyone (or most people) started out in your position at one time. If you want something different, Firefight can help newer players learn to aim better.

Remember to have fun and don’t take things too seriously.

Thanks for the reply  I’ll try it first the next time I play.

You may need to reset your controller sensitivity, and find new tactics. Use Fire fight’s Score attack (you play alone, against an unchanging opponent, best case scenario for baseline testing) to see if different controller sensitivities work better for you or not, then move on to tactics.

Tactics are forever changing. Some stay the same, but once a counter is worked out, a tactic becomes outdated, and new ones are formed. Watch games that you saw a team really dominate in, and see what their tactics were. You might find something useful that way…

I use SWAT to “warm up” before I jump into the Arena sometimes. It helps with aiming and reaction time.

find some other rusty players…go to octagon and duel it out…

im in a similar spot you are in. i just got the game a month ago after a 2 year break from xbox. now im trying to get good. mlg is TOUGH playing with randoms or quiet people. it helps to play with people that can talk and communicate where/what the enemy is doing

by all means add me im looking for people to play with all the time.
