What personal AI needs..

Personally I think 343I needs to polish and expand the personal AI more.
Like, we need a standard AI which says nothing. It’s just silence, for those who don’t like the voices.
We need an AI who has «Jeff’s» voice, the classic Halo multiplayer announcer.
And the previous Firefight voices in Halo Reach and Halo 5 as AI. Some new AI of course, to make things fresh.
Maybe they could have one slot for an AI you could customize the shape and mix the voice with too.
The voices gets very repetitive, so with the seasons they should update sentences to keep it fresh, so the gameplay doesn’t sound the same everytime.

What do you think?
Is this a good idea or do you have another good idea on this topic?

The personal AI in the flight was meant to give us a taste of it. Who knows how extensive it is in final release & beyond.
Should be a Jeff AI, BTB just isn’t the same without Jeff.

The only thing I disagree with is Jeff steitzer as an AI. I don’t think he belongs there only because his voice is the omniscient announcer’s voice - he’s “outside” of the game looking in, in a sense. If he becomes an ai then he is “in” the game and IMO that kind of degrades the authoritative position he holds as the announcer.

But, it’s better to have him as an AI instead of not having him at all?

I do believe there are more tactical features the AI could be feeding the player. Such as audible radar call outs that might let you know how many enemies are near you, or when someone is coming up behind you. Or similar ping-based callouts where the AI communicates how many enemies are in an area pinged by a teammate (“Ally outnumber 3 to 1 at Sniper tower.”). Audible timer callouts might also be useful (“n seconds until flag return”).

It’s a delicate situation because there is definitely a threshold beyond which AI are too much. But atm, I want more.

If there is a Spartan ops/ firefight I think AI having more of an objective update roll would be class!

“fall back Spartans heavy banished reinforcements inbound”

“new orders from captain lasky”

“Get back to the armoury marines need back up”

He says lots of stuff, in arena. They need to just turn him on for BTB.

He announces in arena. I definitely think he needs to be enabled in btb too - I don’t know why 343 disabled his voice in btb.

You already have him as an announcer. Just because he isnt in one mode doesnt mean your whole gameplay entertainment is ruined.

it needs a toggle on/off option

Can I get a Samuel L Jackson voice for my AI please lol

I’m hoping that the personal AI gets expanded on greatly. I think what we had in the flight was a great taste, but I want it to get wild.

I think they totally missed the mark in regards to the roll of the AI. I don’t need a ‘buddy’ who tells me how awesome that kill was, I have actual friends for that. I don’t need them to tell me I got a kill, or that I shot somebody, or that I picked up a weapon. If you want us to like these AI, make them USEFUL. Let them remind us about our favorite weapon’s spawn timer, or that an ally lost a close fight nearby (something like ‘Spartan down nearby, finish the job for him’ to indicate an enemy might be low health and reloading) or to warn us when a lot of blips flash on our radar when we might be otherwise preoccupied (something like ‘that’s a lot of motion!’)

As someone who plays mostly BTB I think not having him ruins my whole gameplay entertainment.
But seriously though his callouts are 60% of the fun with getting medals in the first place.

There should at least be an audio slider for them

But you hear him giving the same callouts for 20 years straight. How can that drive your entertainment for being the exact same tone of voice? I play BTB heavies usually all the time and personally I dont see it such a big deal. I usually dont hear any announcer unless im waiting for something specific that I want to hear.

Okay, if I get David Attenborough

You mentioned it in the post and i agree with everything you say but I still want to say it. a personal ai needs to shut up. Thank u and i hope i dont get banned for this.
