I figured I would post a bunch of Websites articles about how other people are liking from the outside in. Use this information how ever you feel. If enough people like it or comment on it, I could do summery of what each site says.
It just seems that a lot of us are anti-343i for little reason or reasons that are very small. Some are big while others are not to much to stress over.
People are also blindly following 343i which is also not helping out at all.

Overall they were mostly positive which is good I won’t paint 343 as saints as they are not but they have never done something to warrant outright hate.

but yet it seems that there is a lot of that on here. All of the huge topics that happen, all are somewhat dis-ing 343i

Or maybe people are recognizing that blindly bashing 343i is childish and immature? Which is the general perception the world has of this community right now in fact, childish and immature. And maybe they also aren’t so blindly purist that they can accept the changes more liberally? Rather than living in the past.
Bonus points: those are all offsite, 343i won’t be looking at the Gamespot comment section for well constructed feedback.

True for that. But I would also not use these forums to figure out what the majority of people on the forums for how to make this. Because by the way it looks. Everyone else loves what 343i is doing with halo5

How’s that? If I have something to say about the game, I say it, support my claims and argue to prove my point, or get corrected if I’m wrong. That’s one of the points of these forums, isn’t it?
If you think people having concerns over this game are hating, then you need to plug in your logic cable, or even replace it, and start supporting your claims.
For example, I dislike sprint, ADS and stabilizers, for reasons discussed several times on these very forums. Does that make me a hater or someone with a better insight and knows better than to get on the hype train?
And this proves what exactly lol?
Thats a very skewed look into things.
bu… Bu… But the community?!
We have created a letter which we have sent to 343i…
Perspective is a good thing. One chap was complaining why people were selecting H4 on BTB.
Apparently, he did not like the Democratic process…

Most people come here to -Yoink- rather than praise, sadly.

this proves what outside the circle of these forums think of halo. Lets face it. Everyone on here is a hard core fan. They grew up with the original with no sprint, little ADS, and map control. Once something changes( such as ownership of this great franchise) It is not normal and we start getting aggressive. This happened when they switched Jay leno with Colon(I don’t remember his name correctly) This happened in World of Warcraft with a huge drop of active users. And it also was shown in several other instances. Inside most of these. there was a huge chunk of people that liked the new changes. BUT because the old group was louder and they knew them better, they over powered and got there way. This destroyed World of Warcraft, greatly because they only supported the old hardcore fans(US)
This is to show that other people that play halo but ARE NOT ON THESE FORUMS/HARDCORE FANS are actually enjoying these changes saying that it feels like halo, but also something new.
That is what it is proving exactly lol.

he must be a russian
I will have to say though that it is a lot better then the veto system that was in 3. I remember one of my friends and I would veto every single match to see how long we can be in the lobby.
With the perspective, I wanted to get at less a little of the outside area’s voice inside these forums so people are educated from both sides.
The only people going to BestBuy/GameStop to leave comments are a similar kind of gamer to the ones on the forum. They are already attached to Halo and “trying to spread the word.” They may even be more like fanboys because at least a forum promotes discussion and back and forth.
People shouldn’t be posting a review of a game after playing a beta that only focused on a small element of gameplay. These kinds of actions happen all the time in the gaming community though. All you have to do is look at the launch of XBox One and PS4 where fanboys were fighting in review sections before the consoles were actually released.

Eh, most games get good press before release. Titanfall, Watchdogs, Destiny… Heck Halo 4 had lots of praise from pro players and outside sources before it released, but it’s arguably one of the worst received titles in the series (going by population and word of mouth.)
The only way to “prove” what outside sources think of Halo 5 is what they say and do after the game releases. If people are still talking about it positively six months post launch I’d say it reflects well on their opinion about the game. Otherwise it seems more like a hype train to me.

So are you saying that the other way is any better? Taking down a game for a couple of items they decided to add and starting a hate train? I am just wondering because it seems that at less these forums are a giant hate train about ready to run strait right into Microsoft head quarters.

Yea that saddens me a lot. there is a lot of good things that halo 5 is doing that is actually new to not only the halo world, but to the gaming community as a whole.
