What original Xbox games do you want remade?

If you could have any game from the original Xbox remade in HD for the Xbox 360 or Xbox One, what would it be?

At the top of my list would be Crimson Skies:High Road to Revenge. It is, without a doubt, one of my favorite games of all time.

Heads up! Wall of text, incoming…

If you don’t know, Crimson Skies is an arcade flight sim set in a 1930s alternate universe where the United States has fallen apart and divided into smaller nation-states, who wage a constant war in the skies using zeppelins and all kinds of unusual hot-rod airplanes. Great action, impressive three-dimensional locales, lots of cool planes and fun weapons, a variety of enemies, and open missions where you could tackle various objectives however you wanted. It was practically the flight sims equivalent of Halo; except, most unfortunately, it died with the original Xbox.

Back in the day, I used to play all kinds of arcade flight sims; flying games with a focus on action rather than realistic flight mechanics. Crimson Skies was the last great arcade flyer ever made for a console; I’ve tried other games since then on the 360, but nothing comes even close to being as much fun.

I keep hoping for an HD remake, not just for some sweet new visuals, but some new planes; before they took the original Xbox Live offline, Crimson Skies:HRtR had some DLC available, which added new maps and new planes to multiplayer; these could only be played online, so even if you still have the DLC (which I don’t) you can’t play the DLC, even in split-screen.

My interest is in the four DLC planes they added in multiplayer; the Fury, Hellhound, Vampire, and Firebrand. These were all taken from the original PC game and feature new weapons. If they were to make an HD remake of Crimson Skies, I’d want to see these 4 planes flyable in Single-Player, since they were online multiplayer-only before. I’d also love to see the return of the games multiplayer, which I never got to experience.

On a side note, I also wouldn’t say no to an HD remake of the original PC game on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One as well. Forget that I haven’t had the pleasure of playing the original game for myself, a lot of Crimson Skies fans actually prefer the PC game. Also, Crimson Skies has been neglected for almost 11 years; it’s high time they showed Crimson Skies some love.

Anyway, that’s my biggest wish for original Xbox games. What’s yours?

I want the Mechcommander series and the Mech warrior series back.

TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect.

These two games I don’t exactly want remade, I just want them to be forward-compatible… because there not… which is very disappointing!TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters: FP are easily my favorite games of all time!

There’s no online-play, but there’s bots! You can choose from a variety of characters to play as! From Dinosaurs, to Ducks, to a Fishbowl with legs, to Insects, to Zombies, to Humans, to Aliens,to a Squid, to Robots, to Mutants, etc.! All of which hold a weapon! Crazy, huh?

You an choose to play on an Easy, Normal, or Hard difficulty when playing the Story-mode and multiplayer! You can also choose from multiple songs from the games’ soundtracks to play during a game!

The Story-mode is very simple in TS2, and story-telling isn’t the best in TS:FP, but it’s entertaining! You journey through time – from Notre Dame to a desolate Earth in the distant future – in an attempt to stop a deadly war before it even starts!

I could ramble on about these games for an eternity, but I’m just gonna stop here!

Edit: One last thing. There’s also a TimeSplitters 1, but it isn’t as good as the second and third games, IMO.

Funny, I think Mech Warrior actually came from the same developer as Crimson Skies… never played any of those games myself, though.

A full remake of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory would be awesome…
Although for an original Xbox game, its graphics still look pretty good today.

Knights of the Old Republic.

Wow, Crimson Skies. I’d completely forgotten about that game. Spent hours playing the first one on the PC. I remember it being quite difficult and cursing it’s stunt flying missions. I think you flew through the Hollywood sign in one mission (or a fictional copy) it made young me rage quite a lot as younger me only had experience playing Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 1 and 2 at the time - much more serious and hardcore, if you wanted it to be. Used the old Sidewinder joystick too.

And the helicopters… So overpowered. When you fought against some pirate group that specialised in them. Not fun. I think they were helicopters anyway. My bad memory and bad PC graphics makes the details fuzzy.

Anyway, Crimson Skies needs a sequel! Of all the things on Kickstarter…

I can’t think of any original Xbox games. Halo 1 & 2 are done or being done. Fable 1 is done. The original Xbox was mainly a Halo machine for me so, I’m going to go the multi-plat route and pick the easiest option, GTA: San Andreas.

Also the Timesplitters games would be a very good choice. Another series that needs a sequel.

Plus Wipeout. I know it got a PS3 version and the studio was… Wipedout. :frowning: but still.

Crimson Skies did get a sequel… sort of. Did you play Crimson Skies:High Road to Revenge on the original Xbox?

But I agree that Crimson Skies could do with another sequel. They should’ve never let the franchise die out. Like I said, we haven’t had a great arcade flying game since.

Metal Arms. Loved that game.

I’m one of the lucky ones. I bought a Xbox cause I saw someone else playing Halo and knew I had to have it. And then the next game I bought was Halo 2. Everything I could ever want remade from the original Xbox is going to be included in the MCC!
But if I could choose a game from any platform/genre, I would enjoy an updated graphics but original gameplay of MegaMan 2!

Pariah, Brute Force, Conflict: Desert Storm 1+2, Urban Chaos, Star Wars Republic Commando,
Morrowind, Unreal Championship and Project: Snowblind.

Conker: Live and Reloaded, Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars Battlefront II, and Star Wars Republic Commando!

Gauntlet Dark Legacy or Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows.

x2 wolverine’s revenge

I would love for Timesplitters 2 and Timesplitters future perfect to be remade, those games were amazing, and had such a great map maker along with it’s humorous, yet mature story.
I would also love for Brothers in arms earned in Blood, that was also very enjoyable.
Oh why not, I would also like the James Bond games to be remade, they were/are a lot better than the modern installments in the franchise…for me anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

Anndd Star Wars republic Commando, that was a very fun game, I loved being able to place your team mates in certain positions (much like Borhters in arms) to better the enemy tactically.
Last one I promise…Medal of Honour Rising Sun.

I would love to see TimeSplitters series remade with online multiplayer. However, I would love to see the original Steel Battalion games to be remade. I mean, seriously, who wouldn’t want to play as a mech with this controller?
Talk about getting immersed in a video game!

rayman 3.

i want a remake againg for the xbox one

> Knights of the Old Republic.

THIS!

It would be nice if they included all the cut content and more.

… And leave TSL within the retcon.

The games I would love to be remasterd for Xbox one is Star wars republic commando and I wish they would add coop campaign with other people being the other commandos in Delta Squad and Star wars Knights of the old republic with coop to. Also I would love the remasterd versions of the 007 series that was on the original xbox.
