Felt like introducing some humor into the Halo 4 section. Enjoy if you can:

Gamer 1: Man, has anyone else seen the new graphics for Halo 5? Going to be SICK.

Gamer 2: Yeah, when they first let us know the updated technology would be rivaling 3d color schemes, I thought I was going to have a heart attack!

Gamer 3: Dude. It’s going to be EPIC. And can you imagine we’re going to get to set our default ability? Oh yeah, going to get to choose between Hologram, Jet Pack, and Sprint as our default AND still get to use one of the other abilities? Hologram and PV, HERE I COME!

Gamer 4: Man, I just wish I could go back to the basics. Ya know Halo 3 / some ideas from Reach. At least then it wasn’t evolving so quickly.

Gamer 5: Dude, this is the future! Try and tell me these ideas wouldn’t have worked in Halo 3? Or made it more epic?

Gamer 6: I’m done with this franchise. Halo 2 was the only Halo game to me.

Gamer 7:

Are you serious? Halo 2 is so ancient and outdated. These options are only making the experience better.

This coming from a guy who hasn’t played any of the original Halo trilogy games? Please…

Gamer 9: Ok, to get back on topic, I like the new graphics and what 343 is going through to deliver us another great game to the franchise. Come on ya’ll, the original Halo trilogy was great, but this is a new trilogy, with a new focus. Anyone else see the new trailer? Now we get to fight new specie’s of Forerunner servants which was never mentioned before! Going to be awesome!

Gamer 10: Oh for sure, new enemies, more guns, and we STILL get to kick some major butt in Multiplayer with those new remakes. Anyone else see the archway on NameplateMap2 and think of Countdown’s Balcony? Can’t wait to see how that is going to mix things up.

Gamer 11: I did see that and immediately got Goosebumps back to playing Reach. That balcony was so open, but if you were smart, you could very easily turn the tides on your opponents if you knew which direction to take and how to come out. Can’t tell you how many times I would catch a person off guard when I would run around to the lift, come up on the enemy side of med kit area, and find they had passed me not two seconds before. Was fun on those assassinations…

Gamer 12: Did you guys see the new gun yet? Looks like a non-wing Pelican dropship! Don’t know what it can do yet, but hey, all I saw was that orb shooting out of it and the next second the vehicle was one shot! Going to be fun using that!

Gamer 13: I’m honestly really happy with the direction this is going, the sandbox of old Halo’s was too limited in my opinion. Now? It’s an actual fight to make sure you don’t let enemies have the various power weapons to use against us…

Gamer 14: Halo 4 wasn’t really that good for competitiveness. Anyone else think Reach had its issues, but bloom did take more skill to actually get headshots? Tweak the bloom settings for a faster fire rate and it can actually work. It really was just too slow.

I agree. I think Reach had its natural issues, but then again, it was more difficult to get that five headshot kill. If it was tweaked for a faster fire rate, Hitscan enabled, it really could work in the future.

For the record, I’m writing this as a means to see if any of you can agree as a whole that Halo 4 is going to be good or not, whether you can agree with the things above, or if, for lack of a better phrase, find some portions of this funny because of topics you currently read in the Halo 4 section.

Tl;Dr: When Halo 4 is out and information for Halo 5 starts pouring in, can you agree these forums will be jumping crazy like they have been? Or do you think things will be different?

Wow… I figured a few more responses at least before this hit the back end of the forums. But in all seriousness, what are your guys opinions on the above segment? If it’s too long, I’ll go ahead and modify it for a quick summary…

yep it just one big cycle of bashing the newest game of the series, bet a cuple of years down the line all the threads about 4 being rubbish will reappear but directed at halo 5

Debatable. I certainly enjoyed many elements of Halo 2, but then again, I’ve enjoyed things about every Halo game.

shrugs if it does, it does. I created it for a partial comic relief, partial opinion based from a 3rd person point of view so others can read this, smile, rage, relax, scream at their screen, state their opinion (in a respectable manner granted) and move along. That and I am honestly curious if people can read all of it and agree to any of it. If not, at least the Tl;Dr is there and will allow people to still comment about what they think.

He he. For one thing: People. they aren’t kids in my book till they flat out say they are less then 15 years of age. Past that, I consider them worthwhile adults… well ok, 18 years old. As for my patience, I thank you for your compliment, but its really not that difficult when I don’t have an opinion and merely want to bring facts to the table. It’s no different how I handled the Elites out of MM thread and utilizing the information available to me to make sure things come across right. But enough of this, time for the real reason I wrote you:

What do you think of my commentary above? Think it’ll be the same thing when Halo 5 is coming out? Maybe a little different? Maybe a lot different?

I appreciate your honesty, I take it you didn’t like the first few? I tried to include a general consensus of what I see these forums acting like, but at the same time, I wanted to introduce some quotes that people could look at and realize those were the underlying statements being made. I’m still hopeful someone will answer with a comment or two about the kind of comments above, I’m sure I missed a few personalities and still think someone on these forums agrees when a future Halo is being introduced, that the responses above will be somewhat accurate…
