From many many many sources, it seems that something is happening at 6pm GMT on the 15th of November (the day of writing this). What on Earth is happening. Some people say just general announcements, some people say an early MP release, some people say a Campaign demo. What on God’s good Earth is going on!

Ultimately though, I think we’ll just have to wait until 1pm EST when Xbox does their showcase to see what quite is up their sleeve today.
All we KNOW for sure is they’re doing some kind of celebration live stream. Beyond that, its rumors and speculation on what exactly is going to happen today, mainly the very things you mentioned.

People seem to think the multiplayer is launching today. I don’t think so personally but I’d love to be proven wrong.
Microsoft is holding its Xbox 20th Anniversary Celebration today (10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM GMT).
Everything else you’ve heard is wild speculation.

There’s going to be a 20th anniversary stream at 1:00 PM EST today. According to internet buzz, it’s possible that multiplayer will be dropped early as a surprise.
The keyword is possible, because it’s all rumors. Rumors that haven’t been shut down nonetheless.
Season One of the F2P beta is available today.
Okay, forget “possible.” The rumors were true and multiplayer is live.

You weren’t necessarily proven wrong but at the same time you were. 343i in their recent post states this is a beta. So what would you say? Where you proven wrong or not? I say not because they are calling it a beta.
