I made a video with a small amount of H3 and Reach helmets on Spartan IV bodies to show what old helmets could look like.
Wow they look nice I would love to see security.

Pfft, they look better than the new helmets I have seen. To me the only new helmet that looks good is the one we have seen in the official videos.
The only H4 helmet that I like is the unnecessarily redesigned Mk VI helmet. All of the other helmets just look… lifeless. They don’t have any character and they certainly don’t look believable the way previous Halo helms do.
Some of them just look plain cheesy and some look like generic sci-fi shooter helmets. Whereas with Halo I instantly grew attached to the Mk V, Mk VI, ODST, CQB, EVA and even the Mk V I feel none of that with those recently shown helmets.
They just look… uninspiring.

I agree to an extent. I do find the new helmets to have a fresh new look but at the same time they might be traveling tooo far away from what we know. Either way I would love to see a classic playlist that consisted of Mark VI only. I would bet people would complain about it too…
