We all know the Didact used his Composer to transform the Forerunner Prometheans as well Humans into a massive army intended to solve the issue of the Flood and make Forerunners immortal.
And since the attack on New Phoenix, I’ve been curious to know: what happened to the unborn fetuses? Do they become Composed? Or are they just discarded ash? Does Composability begin at conception?

I guess it depends on how exactly the Prometheans and Composer works. Are Watchers and Crawlers truly composed humans (perhaps the women and children, warriors and such becoming Knights), or are they just dumb AI that Prometheans command? How exactly does it process them? Would the undeveloped minds of a -Yoink!- “register”, so to speak?
Prometheans have human memories. Fetuses do not have human memories. Therefore, I don’t think it makes sense to say that fetuses become Prometheans.
What happened to the dogs and cats?
