What number or name is this unknown Installation

The Halo ring that the Master Chief, Echo-216, and Echo-216’s pilot doesn’t have a known name yet and the ring isn’t Zeta Halo. It’s an unknown Halo Installation from what I heard on Halopedia. It got me wondering what installation number or name it is. For me, I’m guessing that the number is Installation 10 but as for the name, I couldn’t come up with the name at this moment. While, all the other Installation names except for Installation 09 are greek letters, which name could this unknown halo installation be?

Most likely Zeta Halo.

According to Halopedia, it’s on an unidentified Halo Installation. I do remember at first thinking that it’s Zeta Halo but turns out to be a different installation rather than Zeta Halo.

Perhaps it’s the Halo Ring that Chief destroyed above the Ark and somehow drifted away?

That’s possible though wouldn’t it been someone else having destroyed the Halo Ring like some members of the Banished?

The 2018 trailer basically confirms that it’s Zeta Halo. I’d say the most likely reason that it’s listed as an “unidentified Halo” is because there’s hasn’t been any spoken or written confirmation by 343 or any in-game confirmation from what we’ve seen so far that it is indeed Zeta Halo

what about the ring Anders slip spaced away in?

I thought it was pretty much confirmed to be Zeta Halo but I don’t know for sure.

This is a bit of a tough one. It was initally said Halo Infinite takes place in 2561 but now it takes place in May of 2560 (likely to condense time a little better). My guess is they might have retconned the setting again to say it’s Installation 09 since the Banished did fight for it in Halo Wars 2. Plus it felt weird of the thought of them fighting on Installation 07 since there isn’t much reason for them to choose that ring out of no where (despite the extensive history it has compared to the rest).

It’s most likely Zeta Halo. The writing in the 2018 trailer translated to Zeta if I remember correctly. Halopedia isn’t the gospel. It’s not an official source.

Plans since the teaser could have changed. The biggest example of a teaser full of inaccurate info was the H5 2013 teaser with chief in a cloak. Until 343 themselves confirm it, the official ring designation can still be anything.

Yeah what about this, I mean it appeared in both the Halo 5 legendary ending as well as Halo Wars 2 ending.

It’s very likely that this ring is Zeta Halo. Can’t get much clearer than the “SOS ZETA HALO GRD” Morse code from the first trailer. And while plans could have changed, I don’t think they’d change the ring designation to Ander’s Halo, Installation 09.
Why I do not believe this is 09 is because of the wild life, 09 came fresh from the Ark, and unless Cortana populated it with animals, there would be none present. So it has to be part of the original array, or in Zeta Halo’s case, the real original Array built from the Greater Ark.

Isn’t zeta the one with 10 graveminds on it?

This.
Zeta Halo is the only one that makes actual sense, given that the underlying superstructure is completely different from the Halos that the lesser Ark is constructing.

I thought it was the whole time anyways I didnt know about these other ones, after all Atriox started the building process.

Didn’t the Flood destroy the greater Halo’s and the Greater Ark in the thousand year Forerunner-Flood war?

Just came across this so I thought I’d link it and give everyone an update:

The ring in Halo Infinite is indeed Zeta Halo

Ok. Now I get. I always thought the ring is Zeta Halo but then a Halopedia page changed my mind about it which by the way may have been updated and now I return to thinking that this Halo ring is Zeta Halo. Also, Halopedia’s pages that mentions Installation 07 in regards to Halo Infinite has been updated in that they now say that Halo Infinite will in fact be set on Zeta Halo.

343 confirmed it as Zeta halo

EDIT: Didn’t see people mentioned this before only saw OP post. Can’t delete Waypoint comments for some reason.
