Bungie did a really good job improving forge from halo 3, to reach, i think that with Halo 4, 343 should make some of these changes/improvements to forge-
-Lighting/time of day- at the beginning of Tsavo Highway, when you emerge from the burning elevator, and then enter the tunnel with only the warthogs headlights to guide you, I always wished you could change the lighting and shadows, without having to use the Special effects, because i think some really epic infection maps could be made if we were able to adjust this setting
-Colors/textures- thought the ability to change the mongoose’s color in Reach was awesome, but i was a little let down by the color adjustments for the blocks and walls, I think being able to change the texture/color would give forge maps a different look each time, such as covenant or UNSC style walls, instead of having only Forerunner structures.
-Fix/combine- I think it could ad some interesting game play if you could Fix certain things to each other, such as, a warthog, and barriers, to make an armored hog, or fixing a bunch of turrets to a scorpion = death to all, plus, people would be able to make ODST style maps where the drop pod doesn’t just fall apart before you reach the ground.
-Increased amount of place able objects- well… that one explains itself
-More vehicle Variants- In halo 3 and Reach, bungie put certain variants of vehicles in the campaign, but never included them in forge, such as the Troop Hog, the Troop Falcon(no turret, carries more people), and the AA wraith, and i think that if 343 included these in forge it would make for more fun game types for custom games
-Adjustable Gravity for all objects (including vehicles- well… yeah
-THE ELEPHANT-…YES…
