What new medal would you love to see in Infinite?

I mean…. the majority of players will take shots at whatever enemy they see regardless of their health. It wouldn’t make a difference having a medal like this one since it happens to every player every game.

On another note, I think “Janitor” would be a better name for it.

I feel like an idiot now. I can’t believe I’ve been ranting to multiple people about how “medals don’t span the whole match” when that isn’t even true.

More what I mean is that It encourages players to simply follow another player so that every time they have almost kill an enemy they jump in and take the last shot without putting any effort into killing them which is not an effective strategy to actually win. Using a strategy like that will give you good score but be generally detrimental to the team as a whole or to put it more plainly getting a good score isn’t the necessarily isn’t how you win game, it also comes down to playing a part in capturing and/or protecting the objective. The fundamental reason for medals is to promote good gameplay tactics and reward players for their contribution to the match.

More than anything I’d like medals to actually mean something. Give medals XP values so it levels up the Battlepass. Beyond that, one idea for medals could be ones rewarded across multiple matches:

Match Spree
“Complete five consecutive matches without quitting.”

Match Frenzy
“Complete ten consecutive matches without quitting.”

Etc. These medals would be rewarded at the end of the qualifying match. If medals rewarded XP, this would also incentivize staying in matches regularly which could have an impact on quitters.

Positive reinforcement works!

That wouldn’t be great for me with my incredibly inconsistent internet that quit often causes me to kicked out of matches at random especially given that my computer is only barely within minimum spec.

It’s not like I’m advocating for punishing quitters (which they’ll definitely do too). It’s just one medal you’d be missing out on.

Fix your internet.

Is it safe to assume, based on what you said, you only fire at enemy’s that are at full health? If not, then you’re stealing someone else’s kill based on your logic. Second, you’re explaining a situation that NEVER happens in Halo. Also, how is it any different from other medals? Ones such as “Pull” killing an enemy while their in the air, people don’t follow others around trying to steal jet pack kills lol.

I probably shouldn’t mention “Assist” medals. Some people on the forums might see that and want to follow other people around trying to get assists….

Helping Hand

  • Earn a kill within a short interval from interacting with a teammate

Dont know if its been stated before as im not reading 144 pages but in the flight i got a few doubles by throwing a spike grenade on a bot and them turning to face someone so the spikes killed them giving me a double.
