What needs to be fixed

I love the Halo 5 Guardians, and I think that all its features should stay just like they are, that is with two exceptions:
Bugs:
Halo 5 guardians beta didn’t have that many bugs in them. But the few that where there, can’t be there on the launch day.

The bug I am most irritated about is the systems sence of hitting, and not hitting with a weapon. And I don’t think I am alone in seeing this.
At first, I thought it was something I just thought happend, and didn’t. But the more I looked into it, it actually seemed to be true.

Let me paint a picture.

  • You run into the fight
  • You get hit
  • You die
  • then the killcam
  • you look closely
  • and you can se that your enemy never hit you, no, he hit right next to you, but you still got hit, and died.

There are two possible reasons for this.
One can be that the killcam is wrong in its video. Which should be corrected by 343i

The other is that the game just doesn’t seem to be able to calculate when you get hit or not. If this one is true, it could ruin the game.

Killcam Music

I’m only gonna make a short notice of this, cuz I know I’m not alone in this (and I also belive they removed it). But the killcam music should either be optional, or completely gone.

That’s my thoughts of the game. Keep in mind that English ain’t my main language, so sorry for any miss-spells

#1 aim assist. The aim assist in this game functions like a massive sensitivity drop when your reticle simply gets near someone. This causes the reticle to get heavy, sluggish, and even completely stuck. Its the antithesis of aim assist, it’s actually fighting against player input from arriving the reticle on target. Aim assist should function like a subtle gravity-well, gently assisting player input toward a target. A sensitivity drop should not occur until the reticle is ON target.

#2 hitbox size is absurdly large and bullet magnetism is absurdly high. Headshots are a dime a dozen, and strafe battles are meaningless, because you dont move any significant distance to actually shift the hitbox to thwart bullet magnetism. Juking left and right is basically equivalent to standing still. This is only made worse by the BR kick + spread, which has turned the BR into a long range 4-5-shot shotgun. Sense when in Halo has center mass aiming = headshots!?!? At very long rang, you can get 4 burst kills aiming at someones legs. This does not capture that Halo feel at all.

Those two issues are hurting the fundamental core of FPS game play i.e. the basic process of aiming and shooting. Right now, Halo 5’s aim-and-shoot core is not an engaging or rewarding process. If these two core issues are not fixed by launch, the game will fail.

Beyond that, overall, I love what I am seeing conceptually with this game. With some tweaks & improvements, this game has a lot of potential to be amazing.
