This list includes everything I want in the next halo game. The things on this list in my opinion would make the game more enjoyable and/or improve gameplay.
- New ranking system.
- The new ranking system should include 150 ranks. At the start of the game you decide which of 3 different species you want to be. Those include Spartan, Elite and Promethean. Whatever you choose is your new species. At the rank of 50 you choose one of the other two. By the time you reach the rank of 100 you are forced to choose the only species you hadn’t chosen yet. After reaching rank 150 you can choose to be any of the 3 again or Master Chief (Master Chief is customizable). You may change after the rank of 150 to any species whenever you want. It is not permanent. After reaching the rank of 150 you will also be able to pay $15 for an iron man suit.
- Balanced Sprint.
- To balance sprint in the next Halo game I would suggest that when getting shot you are allowed to sprint but your speed when sprinting will be decreased by maybe 25%. Also take out mobility from the game.
- Maps?
- In every Halo game they bring 9 new maps and 1 remake. I would prefer 10 new maps (4 small, 2 medium, 4 large) and 5 remakes (2 small, 1 medium and 2 large). Who decides which maps are remade? The halo community should take a poll made by 343i. The poll could have maybe 8 maps. Pitfall, Haven, Ragnarok, Complex, Skyline, Forge World, Countdown and Blood Gultch.
- Weapons?
- A few weapons need to be taken out of the game because they are rarely used and don’t add much to gameplay. The weapons that need to be replaced are the covenant carbine and the needler should be replaced. The only weapon that needs to be fixed though, is the suppressor. I think that now they have had the weapon tuning update the boltshot is exceptional.
- Grenades need to be more balanced.
- Frags are fine, pulse grenades are fine but plasmas are far from ok. In close range combat you can often find yourself in a situation where you are about to take someone down and then all of a sudden the person throws a stick right on your face before they die and you get screwed. Solution? Make 2 plasmas kill someone, 3 plasmas to destroy a vehicle (except the mantis, the scorpion and the wraith. Those all take 4 plasmas to destroy). 1 plasma on someone of course takes away half of their health. Also somehow there should be smoke bombs. You get 1 and the smoke cannot damage health. You can see through the smoke but only barely.
- Armor Abilities?
- There should be 4 armor abilities. Thruster, Hologram, Promethean V and Hardlight Shield. I understand that a lot of people hate Promethean V but at the moment I personally don’t see too much wrong with it. A lot of people favor the jetpack but it makes forging maps more difficult and gives users an unfair advantage over the other players in the match.
- The playlists need fixed!
- There should be three main playlists, Competitive, Recreational and The weekly playlist. There are 5 playlists in both Competitive and Recreational. In the competitive playlist there would be swat, slayer, capture the flag, extraction. In the friendly playlist you would have grifball, team action sack, oddball, ricochet and flood. The weekly playlist is for the limited time gametypes 343i keeps adding. Maybe one week its rocket race, another it’s just plain race or King of the hill etc.
- Ordnance
- Take out random ordnance. I want the ability to change how many ammo clips the weapon has.
- Campaign
- In campaign you always play as a spartan. Bring back the Arbiter. Make campaign longer than Halo 4s campaign. Boss battle! I don’t find it very fun just pressing 2 buttons to kill someone.
- Vehicles
- Keep all the vehicles the same, take out the shade turret.
- Forge
- Add buttons to the gadget section. A new pallet called “Floors”. All of the floors are just blank! No need to add details.
Thank you for reading and taking your time! Not all of the ideas I listed are original. A lot of them are ideas from other people that I agreed with(such as the iron man suit). Please leave your opinions, constructive criticism and new ideas in comments.
