CAMO/OVERSHIELD
For the love of god and everything holy, camo has always been a POWER-UP in EVERY SINGLE Halo game, except for Halo: Reach, which was the crash of Halo. Now in Halo 4 it’s once again back as an armor ability. And… To say it up front, it’s yoinking stupid. I recently found myself playing a 4vs4 infinity slayer match on Complex, where the ENTIRE enemy team was using the camo armor ability camping in the blue room on the side of the map where scatter shot spawns. It was RIDICULOUS. One of them of course, was outside the base the rest of them were located in, and was using camo sniper, changing his position after every single set of kills. Their was literally nothing that could be done.
CAMO NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM USE AS AN ARMOR ABILITY IN MATCHMAKING! NO IF’S, AND’S OR BUT’S!
And as for Overshield, it shouldn’t be a called in ordnance, it should be a pick-up off of the map, like how it always was in all of the Halo games. Not as a random ordnance drop on the map -_-, but as a set spot in the map. Just how it was in Halo 3, and Halo 2.
FLAG "JUGGLING"
In every single Halo game, even HALO: REACH, flag juggling was in. Now I think it was a great idea to implement a magnum in the flag carriers hands, however, being able to drop the flag was always a huge part of Halo, and should be brought back.
An example as to why;
Let’s say I am playing CTF on Adrift, and I am the only one on the other side of the teams base, but I have 3 rockets left. Now I could pick up this flag, and potentially score for my team. But what if they happen to spawn very close to me while I am carrying the flag, I can’t drop the flag and kill them with my rockets. HOW LOVELY! sarcasm. Another great example could be, let’s say I grab the flag with my three rockets, like an idiot might, and my team mate is with me. Now I can’t drop the flag for him to carry, while I protect him with rockets. -_- How stupid is that?
Bring the ability to drop the flag back!
PUT WEAPONS ON THE MAPS FOR GODS SAKE
It gets extremely tiring, running out of ammo you know! Not to mention, that since the clips are so small in all of the primary weapons, unless you use the “Ammo” support upgrade you run out of ammo so quickly it’s extremely aggravating and annoying. Screw the random ordnance drops on the maps! In EVERY SINGLE Halo Game except for this ONE, timing weapons was a key factor in winning games! You couldn’t just get lucky by having a rocket launcher drop 10 feet away from you! You had to actually pick it up, and come back 3 minutes later to fight for it! Now when I’m talking about ordnance drops I am not talking about the ones you get from getting a handful of points, I’m speaking about the actual RANDOM drops out of the -Yoink!- sky! Which is completely unskillful and idiotic. 343, please place Battle rifles, DMRs, Light Rifles, Carbines, and all other primary weapons on the map to be picked up! AT SET SPOTS, NOT IN RANDOM PLACES AT RANDOM TIMES. As well as grenades. Whoever’s idea it was to implement “resupply” into this game, I salute you for ruining another key factor in Halo which is; Knowing were grenades are on the map. Now, in Halo 4, if you use up all your grenades, and you don’t have resupply in your loadouts, you can’t pick up your dead opponents grenades, WHICH IS ONCE AGAIN, STUPID! you have to walk around the map until you find the stupid ordnance drop that has two grenades, if there even is one on the map at the time. I shouldn’t have to walk to the other side of the map just to grab some grenades, and for those of you who are about to say, “You don’t need grenades to play Halo”. Stop reading. Just leave this post and go somewhere else. Oh yeah, and another reason to put weapons the map instead of having random ordnance drops is; montage clips!
Don’t you guys miss people like Kampy grabbing the sniper rifle and getting some sick clips with it? Now, that doesn’t happen as much as it used too
because the sniper drops at the most RANDOM places, or you can only get it if you’re lucky enough to get it in an ordnance drop.
SPRINT
I think that 343 should create a no sprint gametype in Halo 4, just like how they had in Halo: Reach with a no bloom gametype.
And please buff up the Battle rifle, or nerf the DMR. The DMR is OP compared to the battle rifle. And it is undeniable.
