There are tons of things in the Halo universe and Lore that always seemed Sci-Fi to us, but if you look at what humans have accomplished today, could the spaceships like frigates, destroyers, and flagships become a reality?
There are already weapons in today’s military that are similar to ones used in Halo, like the battle rifle, which is slowly being perfected by military today. What else is becoming real today?
Railgun technology is currently in development aswell as laser weapons and an ODST like concept.

Railguns are being developed on large scale currently for naval ships (think the Onager from Reach).
Personal Body Armor is always being developed, maybe not at an ODST level, but def a Marine level.
Nano materials are in experimental stages right now. Vanta Black is a good example.
Laser weapons are a concept that’s being tested. Only problem is power management.
Outside of those? It’s a problem of cost and economic viability.

Lasers are kinda still further down the road, mostly they’re used for medical practices, but it’s only a matter of time before they can be used in the field.

Potentially. Hankook Mirae’s Method-2 is still in development but so far it looks like a primitive version of the Cyclops or one of Titanfall’s Titans. Suidobashi Heavy Industry is also working on their Kuratas mech. And I think Bandai/Sunrise wanted to get the 1/1 scale RX-78-2 Gundam to move in some way by 2020.

Well technically they literally can not be, you can dump as much human thoughts, memories, and feelings as you want into an AIs mind, but unless their are programmed into a living flesh body that is capable of cell reproduction, they well forever remain a computer

Space force or space troopers are a concept for the US military. And im gonna switch branches as soon as possible. Itd be my dream to become an ODST
