So, I might get a lot of hate on this but I think it would have been a good idea (and still maybe a good idea) for Bungie. When Epic Games released map packs for Gears of War 2 they incorporated most -if not all- the maps from the original gears of war. While 343 made the Anniversary playlist and put back a lot of the maps we loved, Bungie should go out with a bang and put all our favorite halo 3 and halo 2 maps back in. I know that a lot of people still play both H3 and H2 still including myself, but for those who started in reach I have almost perfect remakes of Guardian, lockout and Construct made by the community on my hard drive that I play on with my friends in custom battles that those new player can enjoy without having to buy the other games. Do you think that it would have been or is a good idea for Bungie to take an example from Epic Games and incorporate H3 and H2 maps into Reach either in its own playlist or better yet into the already established one such as team slayer, swat, etc?
bungie has absolutely ZERO to do with Halo anymore so “going out with a bang” is not even remotely an option.
and as much as i’d like to see some past maps again, there’s just no way a lot of them would work with Reach’s gameplay. i’ll pass and just keep playing CEA.
the only maps i think 343 should have released with anniv. that they didnt would be sidewinder and boarding action two of my all time favorite maps. i was suprised they didnt release lockout but i can see why they didnt for the same reason as sidewinder they remade it for halo 3(blackout and avalanche). but still boarding action although sword base kind of reminds me of it its just not the same and would have been a lot of fun had they released a proportionally exact version as the original.
