Im new to Halo reach and want to play online but don’t really know what map packs to get or just get the aniversy pack$15 …instead of the 2 main map packs for $20?
You don’t need the dlc to play online. The Noble/Defiance dlc had a playlist but they removed it. Now the only way to play Noble/Defiance dlc is have everyone in your game own the dlc. So if you want a dlc pack the Anniversary Map Pack would be the best option, since you can still play it online.
It let’s me play without them. Now that I think about it I used to have the dlc for reach and now I don’t 
do i need all three free dlc map pack to play online? or another one in addition?
The dlc maps are actually free but you won’t play them online unless with friends in custom games
