I’ve assembled a list of things I want for Halo 5 that I feel should have been in or made better in Halo 4. Feel free to share your ideas, and let’s see if 343 notices!
1: Return of classic Halo maps (Lockout, The Pit, Zanzibar, Blood Gulch, etc.)
2: Longer campaign (Halo2 has 14 missions. Why does Halo 4 only have 8 and yet have more plot to cover?)
3: Better risk vs. reward situations in campaign, and larger weapon variety in campaign, keeping the game fresh so you don’t HAVE to use a DMR or Shotgun nearly half the entire level Infinity.
4: Return Halo to Arena Style Shooter and stop the Class-Based crap. That’s COD. Not Halo. Halo is where you all start off with the same weaponry, then charge for the power weapons! Classes make the game too fast and not as fun.
5: Make Flood look like Flood again.
6: Make a Flood mode where there are four classes of Flood: Carrier, Tank, Human and Covenant. Carriers carry parasites and can implode them onto other players, Tanks are very powerful but slow, Human Flood can use weapons, and Covenant Flood have swords and shields. And make them look like themselves, not all the same!
7: Firefight.
8: Larger maps.
9: Larger Forge budget and selection, ranging from Human to Promethean and Covenant to Flood building material and a wider range of Nature objects.
10: No Return To Battlefield markers in Campaign. Allow players to explore and find Glitches and Skulls! That’s FUN! Make the levels vast enough to explore different paths instead of follow one path!
11: Return of old vehicles! (Falcon, etc.)
12: Return of old weapons and some new. Get rid of the Concussion rifle and give us back the Brute Shot, fire grenades, etc. Make Energy swords and Rocket Launchers the main power weapons and get rid of Incineration Cannon. It’s SO OP!
13: Make three shots from a BR be the standard in Matchmaking and Custom Games both. That Weapons update is great, for people who have Xbox Live, but what about us other people who want the welcome changes in Custom Games too?!
14: Promethean vehicles. Get rid of Shade Turret. Tone down or get rid of Mantis.
15: Arbiter’s return.
16: Tone down the overly colorful, too vibrant environments, tone it down! The graphics can look spectacular and serious in one place and too bright, colorful and fake in another.
17: Better vehicle gameplay in the Campaign. The level Infinity, with the Scorpion Tank and Mantis, was great, but what about using Banshees?
18: The energy sword MUST have more use in the campaign! I hardly ever see it in the campaign, and when I do, I can hardly ever use it because the next area is more of a long range combat zone, just not practical for the sword!
