As we step towards the next Halo game I see that the community seems to be greatly divided on the subject of what makes Halo great. I recognize that it is a mixed combination of all of these that come together to make it truly great but would like to see what the community feels is the most heavily weighted part by importance.

I agree it is all a part of the whole, but from other threads I have read most people seem to have a more polarized opinion that is less accepting of the whole, and I am curious to see if that is just a vocal minority or if most fans are like these first two fine fellows.

The story of Halo is amazing, and beautifully crafted.
The multiplayer of Halo is exciting, competitive, and near perfectly balanced.
The Art style of Halo is brilliant with vibrant colors and intricate designs such as that of the Forerunners.

If I had to choose one, the lore/EU. I love Halo stories

I picked “other”, for everything except for eSports, local multiplayer, and graphics. I think those three things actually hold Halo back from being as great as it possibly can.
