I was wondering because in Warzone I like to camp in the back a lot and take people out from long range because I like to keep a good K/D. What are everyone else’s ways of having fun in Halo?
If you find keeping a high K/D fun then hats off to you, if you find long range fighting fun hats off to you as well. Although the allure to Halo for me at least is the Universe itself. I have fun seeing new things, learning new things, reading the descriptions of items, armor, and various vehicles. I’m a Canon junky to the core!
For the most part, my fun comes from vehicle gameplay, being able to outmaneuver opponents in a ghost is very satisfying, and so is wreaking havoc in the Scorpion.
Because, you know. Tank beats everything. Unless you have a better tank.

This, too.
When i play games with absolutely no noticeable lag
For me it’s the whole experience, Campaign and Multiplayer.
For me its the random moments like sticking someone from miles away or making unexpected multikills.
I also like to take it head to head with vehicles while im not in a vehicle. So much statisfaction from dodging the enemy wharthog over and over again and then hijacking it.
I love the fast paced action and having the Spartan abilities let’s me feel like I can navigate the map smoothly and quickly, not quite like Titanfall did, but still good.
I also really appreciate the weapon balance, no gun is just an easy win. The start weapons are outclassed, but they’re not so bad that they’re useless. A skilled player can still kill a BR user with the magnum with a little luck, and the AR has a good balance of range and damage.
One of my favorite things that’s changed from Halo 4 is that vehicles feel useful again. In 4, every started with plasma pistols and plasma grenades, so I didn’t bother getting in an easy death machine. It feels much more like Halo 3 where a buddy and I can run around the map in a hog, causing mischief and picking off stragglers.
Probably my favorite thing is the competitive feel of the game I think it’s been tuned to create a larger skill gap between skilled players and casuals, and I think the ranking system supports that agenda, putting players where they feel most comfortably challenged.
Tea Bagging
For me it’s always been the story and how the universe is evolving.
I’ve loved em all (give or take a few scenes or characters) but what really made Halo for me was CTF back during Halo: CE PC edition.
God I spent countless hours just playing that. I really wish they had payed attention to stats back then. Mine would be legendary.
That said, I fell in love with Firefight back during Reach and ODST, and Spartan Ops was a great successor to that.
Warzone hasn’t really hit that same sweet spot. It’s more like, BTB (minus some players) and a few overpowered mobs thrown in.
I really hope 343i listens to the players calling for it and implements the PvE Warzone where it’s just floods of mobs for large fireteams to work through. To me, that would be a great Halo experience.
I just enjoy warzone as a whole
playing co-op has become the fun part of this halo.
in the previous games i was having fun almost alone, playing sniper or swat… but now you need to be in ateam to have fun and also win some games sometimes
