First things first: I sense that creating custom maps and expecting everyone to come play with you is probably a very noobish thing to think.
Ne’r the less, what type of weapon/power-up/vehicle/spawn-point layouts tend to make for a fun, evenly-matched, and fast-playing map?
Should I start with a small, medium, or large map?
Shotty Snipes Yea or nay? What about a variation that includes the covenant counter parts (Mauler & Beam Rifle)? Should I include both the Covenant & UNSC versions in the same map? JUST the Covenant counterparts? Should they be load-out weapons, or have to be picked up after spawning? Should each team have equal access to both weapons, or should I try to side UNSC/Covenant against each-other through weapon spawn placement, or would that give one team too much of an advantage over the other? What would be a good map for doing this? Would anyone be interested in playing on forge with me to try to create a neat map for this? Gamertag: Jabukufo
I just really like playing custom games, instead of switching maps and game-types between every match like you’re forced to in the ranked/social playlists. I’m a fan of playing the same map and game over and over, sequentially; I feel like I get better practice playing like that, than playing a random game, on a random map, with random other players with their own level of experience (as in, regardless of what their gamer card says about how good they actually are).
Go ahead and add me on Live (again; Gamertag: Jabukufo) if you’re interested in helping me to try to create some evenly matched custom games/maps; or just reply here if you don’t want to get into the business end, but have some tips or other information that might help me on my way. Thanks!
