What Long Barrel & Laser Targeter actually do

Ever since their introduction, there has been some confusion over what these attachments actually do. This is in no small part due to the vagueness of their descriptions.
What they actually do:

Long Barrel increases the maximum Bullet Magnetism on the gun. Thus, the reticle can be further away from the target than usual, but still hit the target. It also increase the maximum range the effect occurs.
Laser Targeter increases the Sticky Reticle strength. Therefore, the reticle will be automatically pulled back onto the target from further distances away than usual. It also increases the actual pull back onto the target, as well. It increases the maximum range this effect works at, too.
This two-fold buff is offset by the fact that the Laser T. makes the weapon produce a bright red light, reducing stealth possibilities. This is not present with the Long B.

How I came to these conclusions? Testing BRs with L.B and L.T, by aiming and shooting at enemies, whilst hiding in the terrain with Advanced Sensors on Warzone. I tested the L.B and L.T side-by-side with ARs on Warzone Assault, which bore the same results.

Hope this is useful for you!

Nice! ty i didn’t know this

So, it DOES do something. Thanks!

Good stuff!

Long barrel doesn’t increase magnetism… it just increases red reticule range.

It’s the same magnetism as normal but doesn’t shut off at longer ranges.

Awesome I’ve been wondering this for some time.

Sweet thanks! 10 points to Gryffindor!

I agree with the range of the magnetism, forgot to mention that, oops. Thank you. I’ll edit the OP. But I would argue it does increase the strength. It was way more noticeable on the AR than the BR, though.
