Or Johnson’s Spartan Laser from the end of Halo 3. It could have infinite charges (throwback to the glitch) but only last 60-90 seconds after pickup (about the time it takes to get to and finish the Guilty Spark boss fight once you have the Laser, and after the fight you lose it). Once the time runs out it would literally morph into an Assault Rifle (this is what you spawned with after the fight). This might be a bit much though.
My other thought was Johnson’s Sniper from CE, as a throwback to how awesome he was at one-shotting everything from a Warthog’s passenger seat. The Sniper’s scope could have some kind of Promethean Vision effect that gives enemies a red highlight, but couldn’t see through walls as well as the Armor Ability from Halo 4.
I want to see the Pistol from CE as a legendary weapon.
Could we try to blur the line between Vehicles and Weapons? Have a weapon that pulls the Spartan into 3rd person, noticeably buff his base player traits and gives him new abilities, but may run out of ammo?

And a needler rifle which could be the carbine/needler legendary version
Here’s my idea from one of my other posts. i think it’s a good idea, so I’ll just place it here as well.
“As for what I would put in Halo 5, I was thinking (dangerous I know) they could make the Legendary version of the SMG dual wieldable. Think about it! Upon pick up, these weapons would always be dual wielded. But, because dual wielding technically isn’t in the game, you would be able to bash and switch weapons while using them. In order to balance them out, they would have Suppressor levels of spread, and you would lose the ability to smart scope. However, when the scope button is pressed the SMGs are focused, similar to the Energy Sword and the Prophets Bane, giving you greater accuracy at the cost of movement. As for their design, I imagined the Legendary SMG’s appearing as the classic M7 caseless SMG; the same ones the Master Chief wields in the first Battle of Earth. That, in my opinion, is what makes them legendary.”

I feel like that’s basically what support weapons tried to do, before two of the three were completely gutted and the last one (detachable MG’s) only left on specific niche maps.
On-topic, I don’t feel like any of the weapons listed should be legendary weapons simply because they’re just ordinary weapons that belong in the base sandbox.
A Light Machine Gun like the Saw from Halo 4, loved that gun.
Fist of Rukt would make sense.
Like a gravity hammer except using smart scope and attack would allow you to do a vortex while smart scope and mêlée would pull back an enemy, something like that.
