What kind of New Weapons will it be in Halo 6?

Heat Beam Launcher (Spartans), Plasma Shotgun (Covenants), Saber Blade (Prometheans)

I really don’t know, but I’d propose the desire to allow for pre-level loadout selection like in the CoD: Black Ops games (particularly BO3) where you can choose your loadout and modify your weapons, or at least in cases where it’s feasible with the plot. Like if you’re deploying from Infinity or an allied UNSC area, you should be able to, but obviously if you’re stranded somewhere, you’ll have to do without your fancy personal weaps that level.

Beyond that, I’m not sure how much wiggle room the plot gives with new weapons, they’ve been pretty dang thorough with their arsenals so far.

Honestly I have to agree with this…or, if not that, at least give us weapons we aren’t going to throw away within the first five minutes cause we ran out of ammo. Spawn us with location-accurate weapons or give us resupply points along the way.

As for new weapons…wouldn’t mind seeing some more Forerunner tech, some new stuff we haven’t seen before, perhaps creations of Cortana.

Honestly, I think Halo 6 could perform well with less weapons. We have too many weapons now imo.

Let’s look at some duplicate weapons:
Light Rifle, Covenant Carbine, DMR. I love all these guns, but I have a hard time thinking they each truly fulfill a unique roll.
Shotgun and scattershot. I cannot tell a difference at all. I’m sure there is one, but it is certainly negligible.

As far as new weapons, they MUST be unique. One example being the bruteshot, and how it differs from the SPNKR and fuel rod cannon.

My hope would be to see a brutally powerful revolver. Brute in design. Low fire rate, 3 shot kill, VERY low aim assist and ZERO bullet magnetism.

I would like to see another totally different weapon for the Prometheans. The needler is awesome, and totally behaves differently than any other weapon the Covenant uses. The Prometheans need their form of a needler.

I can dig that stuff. I would suspect that the reason they created those alternatives was just to showcase Forerunner tech and perhaps what their equivalents of a human/Covenant weapon would’ve been.

As to your last point, the Needler, do you think the Suppressor may fulfill that role? Particularly the Suppressor variant “Razor’s Edge” (although I know it’s multiplayer only) will do that tracking projectile/supercombine explosion effect as well. Would that do, or did you want something more iconic?

Oh I love the suppressor. It is unique, with unique advantages. I just want another forerunner weapon or two that are also unique. Like how the Covenant have the needler, and plasma pistol.

Not sure but the Covenant weapons seem to be missing a shotgun.

I agree with customization, build the weapon you want rather than having 30 ARs and BRs and DMRs, I hate having to scroll all the way to the end to get the SMG with the bayonet that I want instead of it being the only available one. Maybe as you rank the attachments get added to the weapon. For example, level 4, you get the basic SMG, and when you get to 8 if you have it unlocked and equipped the bayonet just appears instead of you having to scroll to select it in between spawns.

IDK, I just hate searching through all the weapons when I only use a few of them. I have literally never used 90% of the ARs.

I’d be good with that veterancy bit. I’d rather it be linked to your Spartan rank, and not your weapon rank like some CoD games do, but the basic idea holds and I’m good with that. Or maybe you get one upgrade point each level and you can choose what to spend it on (a bunch of UG points for a new weapon model, or a much smaller amount for mods for a weapon)
