Since Halo 4’s audio director is not used to the whole "ancient monks, drums, and odd- alien sounding themes, how do you think he will produce Halo 4’s music?
Do you want action- drums, guitar and intense humming from monks?
How about sad, soft humming mixed with piano singles and alot of other non action-intense themes?
Think Halo CE-Halo 3. For intense, action themes. Think ODST- Halo: Reach. For sad, and alot of monk chants that together sound a tad bit sad, especially when Noble 6 is killed.
What do you think?
Epic exploration music, fast pace intense combat music, slow and sad music for deaths, loud chanting when entering Forerunner structures, creepy music when dealing with Flood, etc.
Whatever fits the environment. Halo 3 used orchestral sounds in large, natural, serene areas, where they fit very well – “On A Pale Horse” in the desert sands of the Ark’s Silent Cartographer facility, and “One Final Effort” for both the serene jungles of the Ark’s shield towers and the fast-paced set piece of the collapsing Installation 04B.
Reach also had like, one or two tracks that used electric guitars, drums, and some horns to set a suspenseful “We’re about to do something totally awesome” mood (on which the story never delivers…). Some of these can be heard when NOBLE Team rides Falcons to areas, and in the main menus, and are reminiscent of the opening music to Halo 3’s level The Storm.
Stuff like that – anything that sounds nice, and fits the environment and the mood that the game tries to set. If we’re focusing on the beauty of a brand new world, then the tracks should compliment it accordingly. If we’re focusing on action, then go for action music.
Well because this planet is mystirous. id go with . mysterious.
Would be awsome to feel what we felt in halo ce, when we played it the first time.

We need more Drums.
I’m thinking of a mysterious piano, like note by note.
Hums of ancient forerunners.
Rain.

Being able to play your own if you have any installed on your 360 would be nice.
